Ha. I just thought the way you wrote it was funny. Like you were quoting a scholar. Thanks for your memories of yourself.
Without this turning into a bitch fight, I read the article and it reminded me of my first posts on the subject. Since then I have changed my view. I posted my thoughts on the article. I know what you mean and will take your critic on board. Thank you kind Sir.
Every national newspaper article(other then David Conn) I've read has failed to mention it has nothing to with making money and all about his disagreement with HCC
He's welcome to his views, the point of journalism is presenting both sides (or more) of an argument. He's probably playing Devil's Advocate professionally and doesn't really support name changes personally.
Decided he was spouting bullshit when he brought Rugby into it. Different sport mate. AND began saying how long some of the 'ancient' names were but then said Wakefield Trinity Wildcates, which is much larger than Tottenham Hotspur. Third flaw, He says nobody would refer to their full names, says about West Bromich Albion, Tottenham Hotspur, Brighton and Hove Albion etc. Tottenham get called Spurs, West Brom either West Brom or the Albion etc. What a muppet.
I don't get how nobody in the media is picking up the dispute with the council. (The club not the council) should have raised eyebrows at the very least. It's a key element to the story that's being widely ignored.
Yep, he repeated it twice, very sarcastic, clearly a very bitter man. What really pisses me off is that he is using the fans to vent his spleen against others. He's a **** and not crazy or past it, just a **** of a man who donates to build his status. He wants to be the head man, instead he's just a headcase. The sooner we're shot of him the better.
It made pleasant reading, and was more palatable than the usual crap we seen written about this subject. Weird really, seeing as it's in the Daily Mail.
