They haven't managed that this season.

And as said before, 3,000 passes down already this Season. That's not a few hundred.

And where do these 'new fans' come from if we get relegated?

We were scraping 15,000 in the Championship at the best of times. Partner that with the CTWD members not renewing, where does that leave the Club?

No to mention the debt we'd be in to our owner who has 'gifted' us his money, but wants back...

So why don't these real fans already have a season pass? There are plenty available.

And as posed in my previous comment, will them 3,000 who have 'replaced' those who didn't renew, still be there if we got relegated? Honest answer.

Honest answer, we would probably lose 1500 in the first season after relegation & 2500 from total gates, in the hope of an instant return to the Premiership, but if that didn't happen, for each year in the Championship I would imagine us losing another 1000 passholders & eventually back to around 8000 passholders & total gates around 13-14000. A second relegation could see that drop below 10000 with those disillusioned by the name change not returning to the fold despite probably being our longest serving fans

I wouldn't stop going as I've a craving for football and Hull City is still my club, it just wouldn't be the same watching another team.

I don't buy into the idea that changing the name makes it a different club. That's such a **** argument it's as bad as any pro name change rubbish.

It would be **** though and some of the passion and desire would probably fade away. I'd also probably lie and tell everyone I don't go.

That's what I was saying yesterday. It's the main reason why I genuinely can't say whether I'd be back. If the passion is there, then I'll support the team as much as I always have. If I were to find though, I have as much feeling for a Hull Tigers as I do for any other club - then I'm not sure I'd have the motivation.

I was told that is apparently Emotive BS however.

When Assem Allam said he would Walk l AWAY if he does not get his own way I finally got it.

THE FACT THAT HE DOES NOT CARE THAT MUCH ABOUT HULL CITY.

He would dump the club over a name change that would ONLY have brought in a pathetic 1million a year .

    Thats how much he cares

A true owner who cares would stay and find another way of bringing money into the club and not walk away from the club

He actually has already done as you say Filey, he found another way.

The season ticket hike has made the £1m extra from last season. This new attempt at the name change is now nothing but pride and spite, and all it's done is divide a group that should be united.

I posted on twitter the other day - if not for the name change, the only debate would be where to put his statue. His petulance has brought it to this.

But the laughable thing to me is, if he hadn't bothered with the name change shenanigans and ultimately trying his damnedest to piss half the supporters off with his pedantic outbursts, I'm sure that statue would have turned up one day. I have said this before, but when he came he had the potential for greatness in the eyes of every Hull City supporter, and even after what he has done for the club and the team, many peoples outstanding memories of him will be negative.

    "Only a pathetic million"

It wasn't that long ago we were drooling over our first ever million pound player. How far we have come. I'm not going to slate a guy for trying to take us further, but I am displeased at his lack of honesty in his methods.

    Last year......

    1. Our most successful season ever
    2. The best players we have ever had (Well, the best I've ever seen since I started going in 1969 anyway. And no, I'm not saying that all those years make me 'better' or 'more worthy' than anyone else)
    3. The most attractive football that, to me, we've ever played. (caveat as per point 2)

And still we had 3,000 people not renewing their season passes.

    Am I missing something?

He would have been our Jack Walker. No doubt.

This is what I find more tragic than anything. He is cutting off his nose to spite his face. There is no pot of gold there. He's already doing everything he needs to, by putting his faith in a quality manager. If we are breaking even, or even making a profit now, he's done it with the name of Hull City, by making sure Bruce had the resources to take us forward.

No matter what side of the debate you stand on - there is no way you can suggest he is not a controversial figure. There was no need for that.

He doesn't have enough money to make us a top 5 team even if he wanted to
