We were 13/2 yesterday morning, in to 5/1 last night. Brentford could well be a tricky one on Tuesday, but after that we've got a run of some very winnable games and I can see our odds tumbling much shorter if we carry on like this. If you fancy a flutter and have confidence in Neeyul and the boys I'd suggest now would be a good time to get on board
I wish I'd put a bet on at the start of the season - I think we were about 10/1 with some of the bookies. Agree Brentford could be tricky, as they're on a high after their win yesterday and find themselves in the top 6
I'm sure that if last Friday we had been offered 7 points from the next three games most would have settled for that.
I still think Norwich could win the league, but the team is in the early stages of development and the fact that there are so many points on the board, when there is considerable scope for improvement, is heartening. It was possible that both Brentford and Cardiff could have been out of sight before the great second half performances and we would be level on points with Ipswich. My own view is that only a relatively small fraction of the talent now at carrow road is being harnessed- I am looking forward to seeing if the team can evolve, and they will need to do so if they are to win the league.
This is something I was chewing over last night/this morning before getting too stroppy about not winning yesterday, although I am more disappointed in going 2 down. 7 points from those three is fine, and by averaging 4 points from 2 games over a season is more than enough to achieve promotion
Quite and we have to accept that teams in the bottom half of the Championship will be 'raising their game' when they play us and our fans would do well to be realistic and be happy with our current position in the league.
Howson has looked sharp in the last two games and will get sharper, as will Hooper. Like others, I hope Odjidja-Ofoe is the ACM we have been looking for, but he also needs to get match sharpness. I'm still optimistic about our chances. Derby needed a late penalty against the bottom club to get their 3 points. That doesn't sound like pulling up trees to me.
We're still second favourites with the bookies, so there's no need to panic. I dearly hope you're right 23!
We're still second favourites with the bookies, so there's no need to panic. I dearly hope you're right 23! Under Lambert in the championship we had 23 points after 14 games. A draw on Saturday would put us even, a win two points ahead. Lambert's Championship season: http://www.norwichcity-mad.co.uk/results_fixtures/2010_2011/norwich_city/index.shtml
