Our third home game in a row and a very warm welcome to our new friends from Nottinghamshire to Adams Park and we canât thank them enough for their wonderful result on 3rd May 2014 a date etched into the memory of all Chairboys there may or may not be a round of applause after 36mins the time Colin Danielâs scored and sent the Gas kicking and screaming into non league thatâs the sentimentality over with. Matt McClure and Aaron Holloway will be hoping to get the nod up front with Craig out Josh Scowen and Nicky Walker will be hoping to get their season started with some game time. I will be at AP for this game looking forward to our early season form continuing
Last season after letting in an early goal we would never have scored so big improvement this season and up to 4th. Happy days!
We didn't turn up today for the first 30 mins Ingram kept us in it with some great saves and also bad finishing from their forwards must have been Ingram's kit fuchsia pink and purple got to distract them then we were gifted a pen and looked a different team could have gone in front before half time started the second half on the back foot defending corner after corner the stags are very much a long ball team and don't have a plan B last season we would have gone on and lost but we are watching a different class of Chairboy this season and just about deserved the win on the whole balance of play
winning without playing well (apparently) is always a good sign! cant wait to see this penalty decision, sounded appauling! for once luck was in our favour again, and given that most our goals this season have been scored by the new signings it clearly reflects both how well gaz did in the summer and where our issues were last season
Did the round of applause that was supposed to start on 36 minutes to remember Daniels goal at Rovers happen or not? Some fans on our gas board were on about it this week.
Not so you would notice less than 1K joined in and they were scattered and it fizzled out quickly Only one Colin Daniels was chanted at the start of the game
I don't know mowgli as I only tuned in early in the second half. I feel much more confident this year as we have a very strong defence and mid field. Last year I was ****ting myself every time we lost posession. The number of times we were on the attack, lost the ball and bang ... goal the other end. Now all I hear is "brilliant tackle", "intercepted by", "headed clear" etc etc. It is so much better for my nerves. This is Gaz's team and so far he is doing us proud and rewarding my faith in him. Well done Gaz.
