It's not the first time Wanyama, Cork and Morgan played together, i'm sure it' happened at least once last season, although I can't remember the specific game. It has to be one of those when Wanyama was recovering from injury.

Was up at 2am this morning to fly back from Portugal, so I could watch Saints. Very happy it was worth it. Well done Saints, but Newcastle's defending was worse than abysmal. Big congrats to Franny too.

Great game obviously. Being ultra critical we did go off the boil for some of the game and Forster was excellent when called upon. Koeman was getting very frustrated on occasions, but as on previous weeks he obviously said the right thing at half time and got them going again. Long was poorish but obviously had some sort of problem. I love the fact that Koeman is happy to change things around. Wanyama was superb when he came on and it freed up Cork who looked OK in a more forward role. You will be surprised to read that I didn't think it was one of Cork's better performances although he took his goal really well. Schneiderlin was superb throughout. Tadic wasn't so great today and Koeman was having a go at him the whole game. Pelle was both inspired and average at various times. He took his goals well, despite the "pass' to Tadic, and he made one incredible flick to Long but he still looks a bit lost on occasions. That said he was a million times better than against West Brom. I have a feeling he will continue to improve once he realises that there is more to the Premier League than hitting high balls to the centre forward. All in all, a great day out plus, of course, FRANNY.
Listening to BBC606. Did we play today..? Apparently Newcastle played a team today who have put Alan Pardew's managerial position in danger.
I listened to a little earlier, Robbie(cock face) Savage when question on our signings and performance today has said he had us down for relagation back in July .....now says we will finish 11th. He sounded like he had been drinking all afternoon....
A Saints fan has just been on and nearly managed to make a very good point about Saints being overlooked and written off. However, he wasn't allowed to finally make his point because he was interrupted by Savage and Fletcher, who said that all the football pundits felt sorry for Saints at the time they were predicting them to go down. The Saints caller asked if, before they condemned SFC to relegation, they ever considered that we might buy some quality players with the £92+M and come out at least the same...? They didn't manage a decent answer. I loved the fact that he said you've not done any research before they made their pronouncements. Well done that bloke.
@AlderweireldTob: Very happy with my debut for Southampton. We worked very hard to get a good result. 4-0 win #Saintsfc http://instagram.com/p/s5YbehimGU/
He looked very good indeed. I was only able to watch the 2nd half but he didn't put a foot wrong. Neither did Jose, for that matter. Good pairing.
