I don't think he cares. I reckon he'd take that job for expenses if he was offered it. It's his dream job, probably above England manager.
I have a feeling if Newcastle came in, he might go. It may Actually be Steve Bruces Hull City beating them next week that kinda gets him the job, with Pardew being sacked if the 2 games to save his job is true. Obviously they would have to come in for him though. But Brucey is only on a small contract, something which would not cost much to be bought out of. Hopefully They have other candidates lined up if pardew does go.....or better still, Brucey says he is committed to us. Either way, he will forever be a Leg End here as far as I am concerned. This is all hypothetical, Padrew the Headbutter needs to get sacked first. Incidentally, how long has Pardew got left on his crazy 8 year contract? is it 6????
What Pardew is getting now is certainly reminiscent of what SB got at Sunderland, and I am sure he won't want to experience that again. I know he is from Newcastle, but Toon fans don't give anyone an easy time if things don't go well.
Ashley is backing Pardew who took training today and he will be in charge for the game on Saturday according to the BBC. Thank goodness for that. An "overwhelming" number of supporters want Pardew to leave. There's a surprise. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29206490
not true, that's a reputation forged by the media. we hated Allardyce - for good reason - and most people were wary of Pardew (mainly due to the manner that Hughton, who was loved, was replaced by him) ...but other managers have gotten plenty of support. Roeder, Robson, Hughton. Even Souness and Dalglish were given a decent chance and reception from the fans before everything went sour for them. Gullit lost it when benching Shearer for the derby.
Were talking about Bruce getting the Newcastle United job, not the Falcons. Their fans are quite patient up there though.
I expect over 50,000 Hull City fans on saturday. It is going to be a fun day off the pitch and hopefully a great day on it.
Fannies. Man up. I love Brucie; best manager we've ever had, but if he leaves, he leaves, and I hope wherever he goes he'll be a massive success. City will roll on.
A Newcastle fan's perspective, a recent post from their forum.... 'Saturday is going to be poisonous. Remember a similar home game with Hull after Keegan left? It will be similar. If Pardew is still in a job by Saturday then he will the target of vitriol and rightly so'. Should be interesting.
I just hope it's a good game if football and that we win. Also, I hope there's no booing from the Mags fans, some of our more sensitive fans will naturally assume it's at them and we'll see breakdowns and another 50 threads about it on here. No one needs that.
2nd time lucky at predicting that? I didn't mention our fans booing... The Mags are more upset than us atm.
Does anybody know if we've sold out or you can buy at Newcastle? I have my ticket but a mate wants one. Thanks in advance
