Newcastle fans want a referendum for independence from Pardew.
Can't see that being a close vote! <laugh>

That's my view too Dev, short term it will be tough but long term it's the best option for Scotland.

Just because something will be hard to do doesn't mean it's not worth it? If that was the case then no1 would ever achieve anything.

It is weird that some people are interested when they don't even get a say in the matter.

I'm interested, King, because this doesn't just affect Scotland - although they will come out of it all in the worst state. It affects the whole of the UK, which will eventually recover. Scotland? I'm not so sure!..

In five days we find out the result and it's going to be unbearable if the dreaded Yes vote happens as your typical yes supporter are the type who if you're sat on a plane and you see them walking towards you, you're thinking '' please don't be seated next to me '' as you just know they are going to be annoying.

Lucky that's me now on holiday and I'll be back in three weeks, my postal vote has been sent but have enjoyed this thread and King and others may say people who aren't voting shouldn't have an opinion but it's the people who can't vote that have made the debate interesting and shown up the lies and hypocrisy coming from the yes supporters.

If the yes vote wins and I hope they do then we'll have to tolerate the normal Scotch bravado and taunting for a while before it all subsides when reality hits them. Maybe at least we'll get a rest from the battles of Bannockburn, Prestonpans, and Stirling Bridge, the only major battles out of many that they won.

What lies and hypocrisy Boss? It is astounding that a supporter of the establishment has the bare faced front to accuse YES of the very substance of the NO campaign which has and continues to be about spreading fear. I have spent most of my time on this thread trying to expose these lies.

Boss like the entire No camp you fail to back up your opinions with any facts at all. Look back through this thread people it's there to be seen. You have plenty of opinions but very few facts indeed.

The YES campaign has been centred around researching the real situation and presenting it in public meetings and via the net. We are all about the facts. The exposure of the huge media campaign for the status quo is how we have turned many people from NO to YES. The BBC has lost credibility in Scotland I doubt it will ever recover. It's position as a mouthpiece for Establishment is clear. The party leaders rushing in panic up to Scotland has just produced more YES votes, they really don't get what is happening here. To be fair, it is almost impossible for the average English/Welsh person to understand what is happening in Scotland because the Westminster media machine has done it's very best to make sure you do not get the picture.

For example yesterday in all the cities and towns of Scotland thousands & thousands of people congregated and sang with their saltires and YES banners. Buchanan Street in Glasgow for example was a sea of blue & white from end to end. An incredible movement of ordinary folk in SCotland. The media from all over the world is here, it is quite amazing. Did you know this? https://twitter.com/Dungarbhan/status/510765800601710592

People in Scotland have been politicised like never before, they have found their voice and their confidence is growing. How dare you say this is lies and hypocrisy!

An extract from an article by George Monbiot in the Guardian. Even the Guardian has supported the status quo throughout this debate but at least it has some reporters/journalists with integrity.

Is'nt it also wierd that people who don't trust Cameron, Clegg or Milliband are 100% behind these 3 wise men when it comes to trusting them on this issue?
