Want the Allams millions to continue to advance the club. So happy for him to do what he wants and call them the Hull Tigers (said before it does have a ring about it). But have to admit that the "splitting of the fan base" and the divisiveness that comes with it is not good. And Mr Allam should be able to see this and come to the same conclusion and let it be. Does the benefit outweigh the disadvantages, its a simple calculation, surprised him and his advisors are still coming to the same conclusion whilst many others are not.
you can dress it up any way you like but AA was right, if you want a say in the running of the club, open your wallet.
From an authoritative perspective, then yeah, I don't have a say, but considering I've had a Season Pass ever since I was 5 years old, from Boothferry to where we are now, every Season, including away games, friendly games. Buying merchandise ergularly for, not just myself, but my kids too and actually being a supporter of the Club, every owner knows, the fans deserve the right to have their say. Owners come and go, fans stay for generations. It's us it effects most of all, not Assem Allam. He could sell up tomorrow and that's his obligation with this Club finished. Where will we be? We'll still be sat in the stands in our shirts, week in, week out supporting OUR club. If that doesn't give us a say, then I don't know what does. That is what separates the good owners from the bad; the owners that care about their fan base (customers) and those who don't.
You really think Allam has advisors? He listens to no one. If someone did try to advise him he would make sure his view was the opposite. That was just more bullshit as always. He put a value of £1m on the name change (which is exaggerating it by about £1m but anyway). He then says if you pay for the name you can have it. He also said months ago that season ticket prices would have to go up if the name didn't change. They did indeed go up which will have made over £1m directly from the fans. Can you see where I'm going here? According to his words, we have paid for it. But his words mean nothing, he's a liar.
I don't if it's been posted on here, but in HDM Allam says we're due to make £8m-£8.5m profit this year. Therefore we're not reliant the Allams propping us up financially, we're reliant on being in the Premier League.
What an insulting post this is. Don't know about you mate but I have been supporting Hull City for 48 years. I am strongly opposed to the name change. What will I do if it goes through? I will continue to support the club and team as I always have. If you could tear yourself away from it and spend your Saturday afternoons doing something else or watching someone else, please feel free, but please don't label those of us who will continue to support the club in whatever division they are as plastics.
OK I concede that he has told a porkie or 2. but I am not privvy to the books. So I can't say why he made those claims. If the name change goes ahead, does that mean that you will hand in your mod status and quit this site, cos that is what it seems like you are going to do, IF you don't then you will be a ****ing hypocrite.
I don't know how not doing that would make me a hypocrite, but yeah probably. Why would I go on a Hull Tigers forum? I'd be chatting with Obadiah on the AFC Hull City board.
call me daft, but I thought that season passes only let you watch football. I didn't know that it gave you alsorts of perks like voting on things.
heh chatting about the past? you 2 will be the cyber equivalent of those 2 old men you see sat on park benches reminicing about 'the good old days'
The voting on things is called Public Consultation, now I don't know what knowledge you have (other than the way it's glaringly obvious you lack it) about planning procedures, but consultation is a must. Besides, I'm pretty sure it was known to be in the FA ruling that you have to consult your fans prior to applying to change your name/crest etc. Which, in a sense, would make Allam look pretty stupid because he then proceeded to apply for the name change with no consultation until the FA made it clear and he did his biased "ballot". That would then mean because I'm a Season Pass holder, I had the right to vote on a matter. Am I wrong?
