I think we played well for more than 20 mins in the first half. We dominated them completely. In fairness they went up a gear in the 2nd half and showed their true class.
Maybe that goal will shock Shelvey back to his old ways , been crap so far this season and not really with it .
I expected us to get beaten, but not in the manner we have played. No shame in losing away to Chelsea but we have been terrible for 75% of this match. We have been hanging on the ropes with our gloves down.
Chelsea are very very good. Could win all of the domestic trophies this year. I'd have snatched 4-2 out of your hands if offered it before kick off.
Would you ? I'd have settled for a draw but never ever be happy with any sort of defeat - no matter who the opposition.
Yes because Chelsea could have won 4,5 or 6-0. They will thump teams this season, and more so than they have against us. At least we have kept the scoreline respectable
Nobody hates Shelvey. Comments have been made that he's been crap today - and they're right. Probably being kind actually. You can't give the ball away to any team let alone the likely Champions and Shelvey has done it for fun today. Can't complain though - Chelsea by far the better side.
