Another potential break prevented by one of our players being pulled back.
Something of a theme, whenever we've had that opportunity.

Oh When The Spurs rings out around the SOL.
Sunderland are building up something of a head of steam now, though.
We need to get on the ball and get our possession game going again, not be looking to get breaks.

How is that not a penalty?! Cattermole on Dier and it looked really blatant, at first glance.

Edit: Gets Dier, then the ball. Poor.

Sunderland break via Wickham and have men over.
Early cross is too quick for his teammates though and we've got a let-off.
    Slack defending.

Dier is the first player in the book. <doh> Probably deserved it, but so did their numerous pulls and hugs.

Double substitution for Sunderland. Larrson and Alvarez replaced by Buckley and Giacharrini (sp?).
Two dangerous attacking players come on. Hoping to expose tired legs, I think.

Johnson allowed far too much space in midfield and he hits a dangerous shot just wide with Lloris reaching.
Need to close that down far more quickly.

Down the other end and Cattermole takes out Lamela with a rugby tackle and the ref waves play on.
Should be a yellow to someone, surely?

Opening goalscorer Nacer Chadli is substituted for the more defensive Benjamin Stambouli.
Trying to sit back and hit them on the break now, I guess.

Lamela puts in Adebayor and Mannone is lucky to get a touch, but it's onto his own man and the ball spins back towards his line.
O'Shea is there to clear though and it's still 2-1.

Chiriches has pissed about too much on the ball today. Not unusual for him, admittedly.
Hasn't played many games this calendar year though, so I'll let him off.

Kane coming on soon. Adebayor has worked hard today and played in Africa this week, so it'll probably be him.

Lamela off the bar! Woodwork twice today for us. Balls.

Dier gets caught out of position up the pitch and Chiriches has to fill in. Does so brilliantly, winning the ball and breaking.
Perfect ball for Adebayor but he takes a tired touch and the chance is gone. Time to go off, I think.

Edit: Yep, he's off and is replaced by Super Harry Kane. <ok>
Rodwell replaced by Gomez for them, so creative for more defensive, box-to-box for them.

Gomez flings himself to the ground from the merest contact by Capoue. Naive from our man.
2-2. <doh> OG Kane. Bullshit. Totally undeserved.

Typical f**kin' Spurs. Sunderland should be out of sight by now but no... we have to let them back into a game we dominated!

I blame Poch, tried to go defensive and it has backfired.

Kaboul hits the ball off Brown and it ricochets back, hitting both men and going behind. Should be a corner, but it's a goalkick. <doh>
Johnson breaks and they get a corner. We're under pressure and we should be out of sight.

Questionable tactics by Pochettino to go more defensive when we were ahead, but we shoud've had two penalties and taken some of our chances.
Really disappointing if we don't take all three points and we still might not get one.

    Lennon on for Eriksen.

Our defending is a problem which will cost us this season unfortunately....we can complain about refs all we want but the truth is if we defend as a team we wont concede so many...5 in 2 games is not good imo
