Hiesenburg: Always good to see you mate Was a great day and glad Wayward picked a winner or 3 I lost him for 30 mins though, same time that his heart throb 'Ruthie' as he calls her went somewhere too Your filly will come on leaps for the race and hopefully be in the winners enclosure soon mate.
Nap today is Invincible Dream in the first at Yarmouth. Will defintiely come on for his first outing and think he's a very nice price at 7s. God luck to everybody today
Good morning to you all. Just had a couple of days back in blighty and managed to crack in a lovely Ruby Murray Just had a brief peruse of the fields today and I must say I think Famous has hit the nail on the head with the Tony Martin raiders at Perth - watch out for much booming later today I reckon. 4.00 Haydock Ezdeyaad (NAP) This LTO winner has been raised just 2lbs for a narrow success at Folkestone but has Lee Topliss taking 5 off today. The gelding clearly likes Haydock as he ran up a hattrick at the course this time last year, the third of his successes coming over a mile on Gd/Fm off a rating of 90. If he can reproduce that today (and the signs were there last time) then 6/1 could be a massive price. Good luck to everyone today.
My NAP today is 4.00 Haydock Balcare Nov go with rest of win Lucky 31 today 3.40 Yarmouth Batgirl 4.20 Perth Bankstair 7.35 Newbury Yaa Wayl 8.30 Epsom Lang Shining
well done wayward some fantastic shouts yesterday really thought nudgey was gonna get that leader close home
As most of you will know Epsom is a very tricky track especially for 2 and 3 yo horses. Time and again horses will return here and win, to that end my aim today is to try and get money running onto: 900: Ramona Chase, loves it round here and will get backed accordingly. Very strong bet as the challengers may not adapt to the undulations. Currently i have: 440Y: James Fanshawe has his horses in fine fettle and MANTATISI could improve with this extra distance sure to suit. A tricky race but i'm willing to take the chance. 725E: Many of you from 606 will remember i enjoy finding the 'Balding' winners time and time again. Well today FIREBACK despite having a big weight to carry could win this easily with Mac Gille Eoin being the danger, a nice RFC will do for me too. 400H: Finally i have changed Invincible Dream 210Y and instead opted for VAINGLORY but i do not like the jockey!! Be Lucky all who play
Two really good bets for me today and surprisingly both i feel are over priced Yarmouth 4.40 Levitate just taken 5-2 best odds This should have won last time out but was given a poor ride by Ryan Moore. It was put into the race all too late and was closing at the line in eye catching fashion. Epsom 7.25 Fireback Just taken 9-2 best odds This horse has always been well thought of by Andrew Balding and was really fancied for a higher grade race at Epsom on Derby day but just got tired in the last half a furlong. Showed handles the track and down in grade today 9-2 is an amazing price. I would have imagined it being 11-4
Bluesky I have backed Levitate on his last two starts and I just feel he is a horse that will look unlucky until he is stepped up further in trip. I know today is an extra furlong but I feel he needs 1m2f at least. He will pick up a race but he has had the time to pick up the last twice- identical rides by Moore and I don't feel he was to blame. Will pick up a one and maybe the first time visor will sort him out today but I feel 5-2 is short. Backed Prince Of Burma in this race, think a mark of 80 is workable, willing to forgive one bad effort . Yard in form and 15-2 looks a good price
Good day to you, Cyclonic! Incredible! That's why I don't do quizzes, I am just too dumb, quite obviously. The amazing SupremeArkle (or was it ArkleSupreme) was the first to note this fact. (What was the name of that horse he liked so much, was it Supreme, was it Arkle, or was it something else, my old memory's fading fast). Have to say, your chess coach is the first uncouth one I've ever heard of. They are such quiet, patient types, usually. Carry on with your appendage quizzes; if I ever figure one out I will shout my head off....................... P.S What a damn good idea to blame AOB for everything. Wish I'd thought of that before.......
Gary, You dont think i picked up big priced winners by not offering something back in return, but half an hour was it really that long, i surprise myself at times. Seriously though, i only back her horses that are in with a shout which lately most have been very well handicapped and running off winning marks and below and shes better looking that Paul Scholes, who you chased about all day to hav eyour photograph taken. Hiesneburg, great to meet you yesterday you have a lovely looking filly there and im sure there is a race out there for her somewhere. but biggest dissapointment of the day for me was the ride Frank Spencer gave to his first ride (worst ride of the day) left it far to late, which was markedly different to his second ride for Ed Dunlop which was done very nicely
Levitate smashed into 9/4 now (and as low as 15/8 in places) from the 100/30 that was readily available this morn. It would appear that all my regular readers agree that he will rise to the occasion this afternoon. That 10 furlong Listed race at Sandown tomorrow looks a corker by the way. They must be delighted with the turn-out for that heat. Only a notch or so below the Eclipse in terms of quality.
I do hear what you are saying Rainbow, I backed him last time as well and your comments today were echoed then by the commentators on the racing channel. I disagreed with them that day however as i thought Moore had him in a poor position and knowing he is not going to do anything quickly should have started his run much sooner. I think today will settle the debate one way or the other and i see him coming earlier and going away a towards the line, however if you and the commentators from that day are right he will once again be shown to lack the turn of foot at this distance and look a bit unlucky again as he passes beaten horses whilst staying on well and no more.
Interesting thoughts Bluesky best of luck with the bet Wayward forget it mate - no Hayley Turner or Kirsty M riding yest for you to pull ?
