"I just want someone to love the club, not another bunch of parasite businessmen." You mean like Irving Scholar ??
http://fortune.com/2014/09/12/private-equity-guru-harry-silverman-weighs-bid-for-tottenham-hotspur/ We have no idea if this will lead to anything, and, if it does, whether it will be total disaster, brilliant success or anything in between. What little I can gather seems on the good side, though. The people involved supposedly have a very good reputation and turned around Avis and Ramada, and the leader of the group is a Spurs fan. Supposedly. So more of an FMG than a Glazers. Maybe. The only thing that appears clear is that the group have till 10/10 to submit a bid. My guess is that if they do make a bid, and it's anything like the billion widely rumored, Spurs will have new owners.
"For all his faults he was a true fan." A "true fan" who is the reason Sugar and then ENIC owned the club. And then the tiny matter of almost making THFC extinct.
No offence to U.S prospective owners, but they ain't in it for the love of the game. The Glazers should be a warning to you. They may be spending to try to keep Utd's stock high now, but only because they spent all the club's money to buy the club and they want to keep the value of their investment as high as possible. Be afraid.
Poor Irving , he loved the club but just cocked it up big style in the end, we all know that. My point is that at the end of the day we had more to show on the footballing side than anything like today's soulless owners have achieved on the playing side.
What is going to be really nice is when Sanchez and Giroud decide to defect to us on Bosnans, having purposely run down their contracts, and with us doubling their wages. Then, we'll really know that the North London Power-Shift has taken effect.
I assume that you mean Bosmans, HIAG. Either that or Bosnians, which would be slightly strange. If they're going to go though, then they may as well bring Dzeko and Begovic with them.
What's this all about? http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/rule-2.10-announcement-150914/ 213,102,209 x £0.05 = £10,655,110.45
Not sure but twitter is claiming Cain Hoy have made an official bid. We have until Oct 10th to respond I believe
A billion? More than liverpool, bayern munich, all italian clubs and more? Divide it by 3 and you are getting closer.
Are you joking? The squad is valued at £240m. So all the assets you think are only worth £90m? Have you seen the prices of houses and property in london? We have a pretty big one, and thats just the ground.
Plus, if the Arabs can turn £ity into a Prem-winning side within two seasons, imagine what they could with us! I reckon we'd win the Prem in the first full season, and the CL in the second.
