http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/20140911-gallery-fine-toon-ing-for-newcastle-1909054.aspx Training gallery. Still confused by a couple of players. Hair gel sales must have soared in Southampton. Morgan forgets himself and almost cracks half a smile. P.s. Look for the shot of Sammy Lee's rear end augmented by someone standing in front of him...he looks like Beyoncé.
You kinda have to feel sorry for the toons and similar clubs. We are very lucky to have a club owner who (despite speculation) seems to genuinely care for the club and have its future at heart. Players, Managers and even Chairmen can get sacked if need be but there's basically nothing that can be done about a ****ty owner.
They seem to do this a lot...it must be a coordination thing as they do it whilst walking or running.
I get the bad feelings towards Pardew. but the owner is getting alot of **** yet has always struck me as a sound owner. He has made alot of cash available to Pardew, has not chopped and changed managers. He did say some dumb things about the fans but that was a while back though. They could do much worse and may force him to sell, if anyone would want to buy that is. We have been lucky with our owners, Newcastle may not be so lucky
Practising for the Carnival I'm sure Clyne never used Gel until this season. Pelle must have lent him a tub. Believe Benali is due to arrive before kick off and expect he'll be interviewed at half time. Echo are asking for people to cheer him through from West End up through BItterne and Northam, expect most of us will be in the stadium waiting but i'm sure 30k in a stadium will make up for quieter streets.
Funnily enough, we don't. In fact, very much more often than not, we don't. However, I did see this on the BBC preview of the match: Saints have scored in each of their last 24 home league games against Newcastle, last failing to find the net in February 1969. Sadly, I recall that game. It was billed as a match between those two ace Welsh Centre-Forwards, Ron and Wyn Davies [Wyn the leap]. Both had poor games. And it was raining, if memory serves. I wish I had forgotten it as it was a forgettable 0-0. EDIT: just looked up Wyn the leap's career and found something I never knew. His first name was Ronald. Yes, yet another Ron Davies. His second name was Wyn.
