I'm sitting in the Site Office in Baku, and as I look from the window I can see the Waters edge and the deep blue expanse of the Caspian Sea disappearing to the horizon. The temprature is 37 degrees C and the sun is shining. Tomorrow I start looking for an apartment with the help of a company agent and by the end of next week I'll have a nice 2 bedroomed place where I can put up my mates next time they can convince their women that Wales really are playing Azerbaijan again, so the can come on the piss for a few days. The women are all drop dead gorgeous, most wear stilettos and short skirts or dresses and as it's lunchtime (We're 4 hours ahead of Cardiff) there are about 14 of them all sitting round the kitchen area drinking tea and chatting as I speak. There are 3 floors in the building but they always sit here because there is more room. (Thank you god!) I could easily go blind here and never see City again. I'll have to buy mirror sun glasses, I think I'm developing a stare. I wonder if they go to the footie games? Perhaps I can start a female football supporters club and they can all come round my place and watch it on TV every weekend. See how I am keeping this thread footie related? Those who know me will recognise that I've always thought my glass half full rather than half empty and when I got this job the salary proved me right, but the bonus of the view from here means it is full to the brim now. I'll have to start drinking some so there is room for my delight when City kick of the season and roar to the top of the table and stay there. Then next year when the city is full of even more beautiful women drawn by the eurovision song contest I will be celebrating City's promotion. Anyone care to join me?
Im sat in my office watching one of the older guys pick his nose and wipe it underneath his seat so my sentiments are along the same lines as Prophs.
Living where I do, I am not in the slightest jealous. Would rather live here than anywhere else in the world
all i can see out of my window is the grey, ****ty Bristol Channel and even worse, wurzel land in the distance so I'll echo the majority sentiment here...f**k off
Hey...I replied to this thread You got two running! Well, I love living in another country. Took less money to move because being happy in your life ****s over having money to buy bigger plasma screen TVs and **** like that
It's great when you realise that you have the warmth of your fiends around you. thank you all for your warm sentiments. Talking of warm did I tell you it's a sunny 37 degrees. lmao But seriously, I'm already planning my first break back home.
Thai, sorry about the two threads,Ii posted it in the general one by mistake the first time, but you have to forgive me, I was VERY VERY distracted!!
Nah, don't like clarksies, but the beer out here is better than lager which is pish but not quite as good as German Pils. I'm missing the pints of smooth! But them I miss them when I wake up every morning at home too. lol
spatcho? I'm creepy?? lmao you are a Man ure supporter which probably means you live nowhere near Manchester and you pop up on other teams boards just to be in sulting. Why don't you creeep off back to the site of your heros.? your name actually sounds like theson of an italian waiter with a sense of humour. lol
37 is really a bit on the hot side. Here on Rhodes its probably just under 30 - really pleasant. May drop down to the coast for a swim in the blue Aegean later!
Out my window I can see the grey rooftops of Roath, and the even grey-er sky. which is crap cos it was blue a minute ago. But I have a cup of tea, a day off, and Maria Sharapova playing Tennis on the telly. Life is sweet. Lovin' your article tho dude, beautifully written, really set a great scene. I can almost feel the heat and smell the fish from here...
