Sadly its a QC for each side, according to Ehab. Which raises the question, who is opposing the Allams QC? The FA are not flag wavers for No to Hull Tigers, they can't be defending that position. This must only be a review of the process, not the decision.
AA has backed himself into a corner. He says he has launched an appeal over the name change but no one can tell where that appeal has been lodged and it is debatable whether or not there is a direct appeal process to the FA. He then says if this somewhat fluid or ethereal appeal is lost he will either sell the club or "give it away." As has been stated elsewhere on these boards - among other places - people aren't queuing up to buy Premier League clubs (or any clubs) these days, and as a businessman we all know the threat to give the club away is ludicrous as he will at least want his money back. The only person he might "give" the club to is Ehab. If I were a betting man I would say that come the start of the 2015/16 season we - that is Hull City - will still be owned by the Allam family. Thankfully we will still be managed by Steve Bruce who in his usual honest way has told RH today that AA doesn't want to walk away from the club in his heart of hearts. I know which of the two (AA and SB) speaks in a trustworthy manner
Which asks the question of exactly WHO is paying for the No to Hull Tigers QC to extend your point because Allam has enough cash to throw at a damn good QC.
He might have enough cash to throw at it but he hasn't got a convincing argument backed up by any facts or research. All he has is threats and abuse. We could send a five year old in there and all he'd have to ask is "what exactly is there to gain" and then "where's your proof" and his argument would collapse in on it's own tits.
Even if they went the wrong way about reaching the decision, it must surely need something new to add to reverse the decision? I can only think he'll try a claim that it's worth £120 million because he'll walk away, but that has less legs than Oscar Pistorius.
Very strange though, this has come out through today's clarifications, but CAS or the FA, this time yesterday neither of them were aware of an appeal. I think we need a clarification.
I do hope so because if he gets it back in front of the council again I doubt they have the stomach to extend the fight seeing as he wasn't far away last time.
Oh yeah, if we're unlucky and they find The FA acted incorrectly somehow, that wouldn't mean it would conclude that we should be called Hull Tigers; we'd have to do the whole submission thing again. This might be a double-edged sword for Allam, as any claims in his submission would probably come under extreme scrutiny. Hopefully we won't get anywhere near that point though.

Well if it goes back to a name change submission if The FA acted wrongly first time, it'd be like last year where the club make a submission, as do parties like CTWD, and the FA Council has a vote on it. So the FA wouldn't be "fighting" it, just making a decision. We don't know the number of votes he got, only that 63% rejected the proposal. The other 37% included abstentions and non-attendances as well as "yes" votes.
I really hope the FA 'dotted the I's and crossed the T's'. I'd hate it if the Allams got a decision by a technicality.
