Charlie... This is the Bundesliga player I was thinking off. Where's he playing now?

I resent you forgetting to include Croatia on your list. You even remembered Greece!

    Sorry SFCroatia; you are correct.

    Croatia: 17 (I make it?)
    and so I don't upset the Bosnian's: 12
    and Russian's: 0 !! (surprising?)

General consensus seems to be money & talent (lack of). I'm not sure money is that key because we've never really exported well but I'd have to accept it's more of a significant influence now. Lack of proper talent & the willingness to travel (lack of) are the key factors to me.

Steve McManaman! The most underrated player of his generation. Was a key player in that Real Madrid Galacticos side and even scored a scissor kick from outside the box in a Champions League final

Tony Woodcock was OK in Germany, and Steve Archibald was a hit at Barcelona.

I always thought he was one of the most OVERrated players of his generation, had the odd good game, but generally disappointed.

Good spot (although a few on here may say Le Tiss was the most under-rated in that generation:))

True.. Maybe not the worst thing to ever happen though. Imagine if Le Tiss went to Euro 96, had Darren Anderton whispering in his ear and ended up forcing a move to Spurs. We'd all be calling him Twatnose today.

I saw him play for Grimsby a few years ago [he had I'Anson on his back] and I thought he looked quite useful - so I guess that is why he went up a few leagues. Likewise I saw Adam Webster at Aldershot and was quite impressed with the Pompey youngster.
