"Culpable Homicide" is Manslaughter. He will get several years in jail. 12:36: Michael Motsoeneng, a lawyer in South Africa, explains the different verdicts to the BBC: "Murder requires an intention. With culpable homicide, or manslaughter, the requirement is negligence. You may not have intended to kill somebody, but the way you conducted yourself was negligent."

A full programme for days/weeks? I can the Redknapp one due to the sporting implications, the rest just tended to be summaries in the round ups didn't they?
I think the major difference is that they can't show anything inside UK courts, whereas with this case(and cases like Lance Armstrong, or Hansie Cronje) they got a live feed to show.
Aye, it's just a stocking filler because they've got footage, but Armstrong's crime was sporting, this isn't.

Yep. But at least he'll get sent down. If they'd used a jury instead of a sole judge, I think there's a chance he might have walked. (No joke intended.)
There is simply no evidence of pre meditated murder, it was very naive of the prosecution to press ahead with those charges. The prosecution should have started with a manslaughter charge and he would have been behind bars months ago.
As far as I understand it, the South African justice system doesn't work like that, they present the evidence and let the judge decide if it's pre-meditated murder, murder, or culpable homocide. He has been found guilty of culpable homocide by the way, he's trying to get bail until the sentencing.
I've hated him ever since his completely ungracious response to getting beat at the London paralympics. It was almost as if it wasnt allowed, he couldnt possibly lose. It went against everything the games stand for and the whole issue he complained about was exactly what he'd done for years. OT and I know, sorry.
Ah fair enough, that explains it then. There was never a chance of a murder conviction, glad to see he has been found guilty of manslaughter though.
