i suppose it depends on his level of fitness. Could see both Lallana and Markovic being used instead of Allen (if not fit): one to start and the other to come on as an impact sub. I'd prefer Markovic to come on later when the Villa defenders are a bit more tired, just to exploit his pace. I'd also like to see Lallana start as I just want to see him play in the red for us.
We could copy United. ------------Mignolet-------------- ------Skrtel-Lovren-Moreno----- -------------Gerrard-------------- --Markovic-Coutinho-Sterling--- ---Lambert-Balotelli-Borini------
Villa have a good recent record at Anfield. 2 draws and a win in their last 3 visits. Their pace on the counter is how they'll look to get at you. They'll defend quite deep and challenge you to play through them imo and thus negate most of the threat from your pace. As soon as they win the ball they'll look to spring on the counter and if you hold a high line they might get some joy. I think you'll probably edge it but I'm going to bet on both teams to score in this one.
so we owe the bartards a beating... good point tobes... cue bluff and the little kid saying lets f'n do this.
Villa have started very well this season and are much more suited to counter attacking. On top of that we have a poor record against them, so I think it will be tight.
Did we actually buy Lalalalallalana to play some football or just hang around at football related events?
