Villa play 4-3-3 and so will me imo. ----------------------Mignolet Manquillo-----Lovren-----Sahko-----Moreno ----------------------Gerrard --------------Henderson----Lallana Sterling-------------Balotelli-----------Markovic Villa are a bogey team for us and have played well so far this season, I'm going 1-1.
I think that was when he first came in though, who new flanno would come good, he didn't look like he was making the grade. If an offer came in for enrique he would be gone, i don't think rogers rates him at all. Hendo would have been a mistake but rogers had a different sort of player in mind. Borini has been here for a couple of seasons and was out on loan last year even though we didn't have a great deal of depth. I can see your point, that rogers will give people a chance but i don't think borini is in his plans at all and soesn't need any encouragement to stay.
Play Borini and it looks like hypocrisy and gives him more hope of staying when we would obv sell for an offer in the 10-15million category. Don't play him and we risk him losing value and match fitness. Not a good position to be in for either party currently.
We can't sell him the transfer window is closed!! No harm in playing him IMO he chose to stay because he thought he could prove he's worth a place in the team, now he has that chance! are you suggesting we leave him out just to prove a point? Having the guy in the squad is just further proof that young players will get a chance at LFC.
Borini will get game time but it'll probably be in the league cup to start with and he'll have to prove he deserves a place in the prem line up like all the new signings will. We have him so if he does he should play and prove us all wrong. Otherwise if we are looking to sell him in jan we can at least say we have you a chance it didn't work, best you move on. Doubt we'll get a similar offer unless QPR or Sunderland are struggling and need him, but then would he want to go to a team fighting relegation?
It comes down to whether or not we believe Borini can do a job for the team. The fact that we tried to offload him is neither here nor there. If he's on the books and we can use him, it would make no sense to leave him out.
FFS Obviously, but teams are still looking at players and their value still goes up and down. I'm saying he's a player Rodgers doesn't fancy as we tried to sell him to two different teams so it's a difficult situation for everyone. Borini can spout all the 'I'll fight for my life' bollocks he wants, if he doesn't have the quality and necessary attributes then it's a lost cause.
Migs Manquillo Lovren Sakho Moreno Gerrard Henderson Allen Coutinho Sterling Balotelli I can see Rodgers going with that formation and team. Markovic hasn't impressed me in any of his cameos and lost the ball more than he kept it against France. He can be on the bench. Lallana to get some minutes late in the game too.
Isn't Allen due for a last-minute fitness test? He might start on the bench if that's the case. I only saw brief highlights of the Serbia game but I agree that Markovic seemed to have a poor one. Hopefully it's a one-off and he'll show a bit more for us.
Think Markovic might be quite a toothless player. he looks energetic and fast but I don't know if he's got the end product
We could go with an aggressive 4-3-3, which we do well at home. ----------Gerrard------ ----Hendo-------Coutinho ---Lallana--Balo---Sterling After we run out of gas, we bring on Allen and switch to the more stable midfield diamond. ...I agree about Markovic... I've seen bluster but little end product. There's potential there, but he needs to steady his technique first.
I'd like a win but a draw would be better than a loss but I'd prefer a win over a draw. So a win would be nice.
