How many do you think he's alienated castro? . People on the internet- oh yes they are up in arms. But how many season pass holders? What was our turn out for a vote?
Ctwd's membership is 1800., debatable how many of them are season pass holders.

    Genuine question.

Very well put HT. Like you I'm agnostic on the name change, but the "History, heritage, tradition" argument carries absolutely no weight with me at all. I have been a supporter for 65 years and probably bought every book written about our club and collected hundreds (maybe thousands) of our post WW II match programs, as well as press reports going back to the early 1900s, and "The Tigers" is the name we have been called and known by throughout the leagues since our inception even if it has not been our official name. So claims by CTWD that we are trashing our history, heritage, etc are simply nonsensical. Mr. Allam has given our club a new lease on life and the most successful team and manager in our history. He should be applauded for what he has already done for the club and indeed Hull at large with his philanthropy, not called senile and reviled in a disgusting manner by certain posters on here.

Agree on PLT says and to add

Allam has put around £75m into the club.

£32m of that was put in straight away, £11m in 2011 and £7m in 2012, it was £36m in 2013, but that was before a lot of the Premier League money.

The club in the Premier League is almost self-reliant.

Why do people think we'll go to the dogs if the Allams leave?

So it'll make money because they're business men? That's your logic, blind faith against overwhelming evidence?

I agree with your point but that £1m is total bollocks. It's another lie from a persistent liar. Ehab said months ago there was no sponsorship depending on a name a change. And why would there be? Why would a sponsor care about our name? He's a total bullshiter and he keeps getting away with it.

Yes I can say this. You've been told exactly why what you posted makes no sense. I'll ask you again, how does not wanting to change the name mean we want to go back to being ****? And how will changing the name make money? You seem very sure of your stance so come on explain it? Why do you think the name change will make money or improve us as a team?

very well said! Its nice to see the silent majority having a say! 4 generations of my family have supported hull city over the many years! and we all feel that we don't care what the name is, we have always been hull city afc the tigers! allam bought the club, there is no saying the name will generate more money, but he has the right to do what he thinks is best for the club he OWNS! surely!

I don't believe he's selling because of the name change at all, he's probably just tired of running something different to the businesses he's had where he's been in control of everything and where there aren't the same limits.

I have no answers, i don;t have a business or marketing mind, but I'd trust the richest man in hull to make the right decision, its not a risk, if it generates no more money we will be hull tigers, you call it city, so will I....I am quite open minded and can see his logic, that tigers is more attractive/unique than city

I think no one will win here the problem is deep down most fans don't want the name change but at the same time he as delivered a great football team one that we can all be proud of, his rants and insults don't help but everyone on here as got good reasons for supporting and been against MR Allam my personnel view is that many teams don't change there name but still do well through out the world. We should all know he is Egyptian and will not change his mind in fact he will not even negotiate he gets fans backs up so going forward (A)- you either hate him because of the way he acts, his silly comments, sometimes his insults or (b) you ignore him hope he stays keeps putting his money in and the club continues to grow with his full backing. One thing i will say his i think in some ways the man is a total P R disaster and a baby but i think if he stays as owner with the club he is a very determined individual who will do every thing in his power to gain success the choice his yours but please remember protest how you want but get behind the team when the game kicks off because we don't want all this affecting the lads

So just like thetigers1, that's your best argument? He's rich so he must be right. There's plenty of rich people who've told him the idea is bollocks, and all the evidence supports that. How is tigers more attractive than City? How does that affect the finances?

    Happy,

I personally believe that the name change has no financial benefit.
Assem Allam has proved he does not need the name to be changed in order to invest in a good in fact very good squad.
The amount of money "lost" us not being called Hull Tigers" is less than one place in the league.

Lets have a look at the so called returns from stadium ownership. You can only use it to borrow against.
Build a hotel, not many at football grounds make money.Build a retail and sports park, does Hull need one, the infrastructure alone would cost more than elsewhere in Hull.

In other words Happy, the only way that Assem can benefit from owning the club is to sell it when it is established in the PL and has no debt to speak of. 2 more years in the PL and we will be as well off as if we had a major investor or even if we developed around the stadium.

The name change is a diversion that we do not need and he has no business case to show he needs it.

you cannot compare the english premier league to any of these teams, most of the UK dont even like rugby never mind the world! i don't think anyone keeps up with the bangladesh cricket or american sports, they're on their own!....in terms of been in the biggest league of the most popular sport in the world, hull tigers is unique and will attract! I don't see how people, dont see this!

which stand out the most to you:

    swansea city
    leicester city
    hull tigers
    stoke city
    birmingham city
    cardiff city
    norwich city
