I've not been here long but I find your postings to be very odd. Like two people using the same account posting random crazy things that sometimes contradict themselves. You don't seem to like much about the club currently?
But in the end it would be a pyrrhic victory. We would retain the name Hull City but at what price. It would be the end of seasons where we play in an FA Cup Final and stay comfortably in the Premier League. It would be the end of Transfers windows where we see the likes of players such as Ben Arfa become a Tiger and all for what a name change. Supported City since the 50's and never been on a ride like this before. Don't want it to end such that we fall back down the leagues into oblivion. As Macmillan said-you've never had it so good"-do we really want to give it all up for the sake of a name change? If so it borders on insanity.
But we've achieved all this being called Hull City... Not Hull City Tigers so I can't see your point. If we voted for No to Hull Tigers but for Allam to stay too, it wouldn't end?
Yes this was achieved with the team name Hull city but this is irrelevant when the man behind the club chooses to ignore that point. It's just a personal meaningless vendetta that can't be counteracted with reasoned arguments.
I'm appealing the name change and expect to lose so I'm putting the club up for sale but as yet no parties. Stuck a **** load of money in and taken a lot of financial risk, but the money is running out to finance a premier league side. That's about the Cruz of it, right? The other hour and a half was babbling bollox, right? Nothings changed so we carry on until another owner comes in. Too simple?
I ****ing hope so because that was so embarrassing. Other clubs must be pissing themselves at that. I am genuinely worried about what SB makes of it all.
The 'Hull Tigers in the Premier League or Hull City in League Two' argument is the weakest of all arguments, there's absolutely nothing to gain financially from a name change.
There's also absolutely no logic whatsoever behind "if we don't change our name we'll be in the Conference by next week", not least because otherwise we'd already be there.
But what about this sponsor that's never been named, or even leaked for that matter. You know the one; the one Allam insists is true time and time again and was TOTALLY dependent on the name change?
theres too many open threads for me to read through , so if anything i say has been covered - apologoogleies as ive just woken up Are our owners CRAZY ? i mean proper crazy ?? He has built up a legendary thing in the East Riding and at every opportunity he wants to take the spotlight from the football and shine it on his Crazy brainwaves . he is a box of frogs
He has said that he is still financially backing the club still, if this stops, then where does the money come from to pay the players that we have, have you not heard of Portsmouth!!
May well be nothing to gain financially from a name change. The point I am trying to make, as you well know OLM, is that there is everything to lose!
Why does any of this apply to the name change.everyone thinks the allams have done a great job but can't see why the club should change its name to the longer name of hull city tigers.maybe you could explain this to us seen as you understand so much
Where is this owner going to come from, surely Portsmouth fans thought that as did Leeds fans and many others, Too many think there is a long line of people wanting to buy Football clubs. Apart from the players we have no assets, Surely somebody would be more interest in buying clubs like Villa who actually own there own ground, and they can't even find a buyer
They do want 200 million though. Obviously, I don't know what Hull would go for. would it be reasonable to tempt someone? Edit: I forgot, he will give it away. So nothing! its anyone's who wants it.
