Allam knows the appeal against the name change decision - whether it has gone in or not - is likely to fail. Today was more about an invitation to interested parties to get their bids in IMO.
The very first post on this thread. The press conference was called days later in which he said it was a result of the arbitration or it's sold which ever come first. He said the arbitration had started 2 weeks ago it apparently hasn't. Draw your own conclusions.
He said the appeal was lodged a couple of weeks ago, but "didn't know" when a decision was likely to be made. Probably because he was making it up as he went along.
It'd be interesting to see what happens if he held a ballot that contained the questions (as CTWD asked him to do) - Yes to Hull Tigers - No to Hull Tigers but the continued ownership of Allams - No to Hull Tigers and Allam out. I think he'd find that his 'silent majority' would suddently become a silent minority.
David Conn ‏@david_conn Checked with Football Association: they've heard nothing regarding any appeal to CAS by Hull City regarding the "Tigers" name change #hcafc So we're appealing to CAS over the FA decision, but we haven't told CAS or the FA?
I think it would be overwhelmingly this....No to Hull Tigers but the continued ownership of Allams Did we ever have a vote on here with exactly those three options?
Both are exceptional managers, I'd be delighted with them. When did the man hired by Man Utd just over a year ago on a 6 year deal and THE manager of the year last year become too **** for Hull City?
OK let me put it simple for the simpleton. Why do most posters on here have the mentality that, if youre not with CTWD and against the name change, you MUST be for it?? there were CTWD, the backward thinking consevative stig in the muds and those that didn't give a ****.
Yeah I remember the vote Candy, but I don't think there were those three options worded exactly in that way, however the longer this has dragged on the more posters, I guess, would vote for the Allam's to have nothing to do with the future of the club, which is very sad and possibly gives credence to why wealthy potential owners of our great club have resisted in the past.
Hmm, I'm sure if he dropped the whole thing and agreed to continue without the name change, everyone would still vote for Allam to stay. Problem is, that option has never been, and probably never will be, available for us. I would vote the 2nd option straight away, but considering we can't, then unfortunately, I'd rather him go than see our dignity slip away.
It makes you wonder if Steve Bruce knew about the selling and maybe he tried to trade his son Alex from here in light of that and maybe is considering his own options in the meantime. Only speculation of course, but in the short term unless this is sorted quickly I can't really see it helping things.
I think Bruce would be more excited at the prospect of new owners and order restored really. New owner, no name change, no distractions, continued investment to progress and a new contract would make a very happy Bruce Senior.
Moyes is a step up from Steve Bruce, I'd be delighted with that. Moyes is worth more than us though anyway.
Am I the only one seeing it? He wants to sell the club.-tick He wants to make it known he is willing to sell even though he doesn't really want to-tick. He wants to make it known in as many places as possible-tick
