How can anyone be surprised by that. He is 75 years old, clearly not in the best of health, has broken English and isn't comfy in that kind of enviroment. However in essence what he said was. When he bought the club he didn't think he would have an issue trying to do something (As he sees it) that pushes the club forward otherwise he wouldn't have bothered especially when it is his pocket that is propping the club up. He has interested parties but he want to be sure they have the club at heart. He has gone to arbitration due to the fact that he thinks (As he sees it) the majority back him and they wouldn't forgive him if he didn't The FA didn't actually give a genuine reason to say no to the name change which he finds disapointing. He is now using money that was earmarked for expansion and to increase income streams on losses. He thinks that CTWD should have responsiblity for the name when and if they were the ones taking responsibility for the losses.
Did I hear him right.......talking about some dead for 2 days without nobody knowing. Unfortunately, someone was in my office rambling over the top of the rambling Allam! COMEDY GOLD is all I can say!
The whole name change thing just sounds like his ego is being hurt, there's still no statement that it cost us any more than 1 million over the last year. If there are other reasons he feels he needs to leave then ok I guess, but him using the name change just seems childish.
how can I put it simpler for you sir? OK............. other clubs will come in and strip our players away. the council will be stuck with a white elephant. real enough for you now?
Well that was interesting. And mental. More mental than interesting thinking about it. In fact if was just mental. Manchester red bottom. Did he actually say that or am I imagining it ? **** me sideways.
Not surprised to hear that David Conn has checked with the Arbitration people and found that no appeal has been lodged.
That's a valid point actually - wont any prospective buyers now pull away considering he said he will eventually give the club away? He just talked himself out of a sale. Top notch business acumen right there.
Mo, he said if someone died at the KC after a game it would be 2 weeks before a your found them. In context he was talking about properly and better run stadia with hotels, shops etc all generating income. He was right too.
The stadium is underused was his point. If HCC hadn't blocked him it would be used 24/7 in some way or other.
