Will have a few beers watching this Saturday evening. Got the Father In Law down (WBA Fan) so he'll want us to win this one for a change.

I am slightly worried as well but I think Rodgers will have finally learned his lesson, and not go gung ho this time. Allen and Henderson in the middle to provide more balance and protection for Gerrard.

And no to Lambert - he should only be used as an impact sub for the last 15 mins.

I really don't agree with this attitude of Lambert as an impact sub. The lad has too much to his game to just throw on in the last 15 minutes to try and rescue a result. I understand that he is not pacey like the rest of our forwards but his build up play and finishing is second to non.

Tend to agree with that. However, I can't figure a way of having Lambert as a starter and still maintaining that penetrating pace

I am perosnally open minded as to what team we play as long as we are taking it bloody seriously. I hate with a passion seeing lfc players turn up post internationals and ****ing games up.

I hate seeing us assume soemthnig rather than plan the approach fully. Villa are not the villa of last year. Villa with benteke is different to villa this weekend and how will they line up. Whats the plan.

do we go diamond as it gives sterling the central role or do we push sterling to striker for the absence of sturridge... just for example.

4-1-2-1-2 or 4-3-3.. what will work?

    what about gerrard

    what about henderson

depends on what badontelly does and where he plays.. can he drop off and then if thats the case can we play two side men to get ball in...

if lambert in to push a side back and press up there or is it better to add midfield to seek to control the ball and force villa to defend.

I would keep the formation the same, straight swap with studge and lambert. Balo as his partner and sterling playing behind. The pace is still there with the fullbacks covering the wings. Lambert would be more of a fulcrum in the build up play but i also think he can be devastating when in the area.

  14. Same but introduce Coutinho rather than Lambert. Push Sterling upfront and play Ford in the hole.

    I'm thinking:

    --------------Mignolet------------
    Manquillo-Skrtel-Lovren-Moreno
    --------------Gerrard-------------
    -----Henderson----Lallana-------
    --------------Sterling--------------
    -------Balotelli-----Borini----------

Champions League during the week to. We can put Flanagan, Coutinho and Markovic in that.

Should we go all out against Ludogorets or can we afford to make some changes?

Considering that our depth is a lot better now?

    Sterling - Markovic
    Lallana - Coutinho
    Manquillo - Flanagan
    Moreno - Enrique
