Morning all.... a lovely September day here... Just been to the dreaded neck-klicker.... My neck rotation has become very limited in recent years...... after a month driving across Europe, I note it really got stuck...... and I can't turn it to the right enough.... a bit of a problem driving.. and snapping round to hear when Mme is making a demand ..

Can you not just turn left? In the sixties I had a scooter (mod) but wasn't good at turning right so I took the long way home by turning left all the time. Dinner was pretty cold when I eventually arrived home at night!!!
Afternoon all from a sunny Jersey. jerzeypie should be at Derby University by now - his Mum is with him as he was on the overnight boat to Portsmouth last night, then driving up to Derby. The reason for her going is so that she could share the driving with him and she'll be flying back from East Midlands tomorrow. Normally, he would've been going over at the weekend, but he is a slow reader, so he has additional time in exams. For that reason, he is classed as disabled and so was able to go earlier to have more time to settle in. I couldn't believe it a few months ago when I was told that under the law in England & Wales, my epilepsy is considered a disability. If it was severe, I could understand it, but it's not and is reasonably controlled by the medication - my last seizures were in March. If they carry on adding classifications to disability, it'll be that there will be discrimination against the perfectly helathy.
Parked in town the other day in a fairly empty car park. Two young women drove in and parked in the space reserved for the disabled because it is the nearest to the shops. They certainly didn't look at all disadvantaged and didn't display a blue badge. So maybe one of them could have been a sufferer of something not obvious, although I think it more likely to be laziness.
It's a national french pastime to break rules. I'm amazed the no smoking in restaurants is widely observed.
