Watched Prisoners tonight. Enjoyed it, good film but my expectations perhaps a little high after about a dozen people told me it was brilliant. Still give it a 7.5/10 though
See, that was a surprise watch for me, knew nothing about it going in so understand where you're coming from
Was getting bored of Breaking Bad - Season 1 was great. Season 2 was a bit weak, to say the least. Anyway finally finished series 2. Does it get better? If not I'm won't bother continuing with it.
Every season of Breaking bad was great, with the exception of the last season, which basically consisted of Jesse crying, about to cry, or just after he finished crying, and Walt being a dick to everyone.
Thanks for the spoilers So you thought season 2 was great? I thought it lacked so much (other than 2 or 3 episodes it just seemed like a filler), and plenty of reviews I've read have said the same, with many people giving up after season 2.
Tbh it was that long ago that I've seen it i'd need to go and watch it again. Was on telly like a decade ago now, you latecomers. Overall BB is very good and well worth watching the whole but I find it massively overrated. It's not the saving grace of TV it's often made out to be, far from it.
Season three and four are best, keep watching PS...that's not to say season five is **** either, it isn't. Three and Four are just better. Season two is probably the worst of the five
Just watched s1e4 of Orange is the new black. Still getting into it but fairly sure I'll watch them all now However, point of the post. How ****ing awesome is Laura Prepon's voice...? Not bad to look at either TBF... please log in to view this image
Jesus is that the red haired chick from That 70's show? WoW she looks different! Also agree that BB was very good but ulitmately overrated, has nothing on The Sopranos, The Wire, Game Of Thrones etc. HBO ftw.
Solomon Kane is a good watch. I don't know if anyone has read Bernard Cornwell's series of books "The Warrior Chronicles" but the first one, The Last Kingdom, has been made into an 8 part TV series by the BBC and an American TV company. Needless to say the lead character of the books, Uthred, is to be played by an American actor, Alexander Dreymon. Don't know him from Adam to be honest. Hope he can do a good 11th century Saxon/Viking accent. The series has been made by the same independent tv company that made Downton Abbey for the BBC, I know Downton is crap & girly, but it is well made. As I have every book Cornwell has ever written I am looking forward to seeing what the series is like. His new book , non fiction, about Waterloo (the battle, not the station) is out this week
Thanks for clarifying that. Trying to imagine how boring a book about Waterloo station would be......suicide inducing
I only clarified it because I know certain mods would pounce on it otherwise with a sarcastic comment about trainspotting, etc
