Have a look at the BOE statement today and clearly fiscal union is a non starter and again Salmond is saying that this second hand car was previously owned by the vicars wife. You may well have a pound system but supported by your own banks who do not exist with sufficient clout this time
Scots are ruled by others in the sense that many of the most important decisions affecting them (questions of peace or war, for example) are determined by representatives chosen by an electorate consisting mostly of non-Scots. There were plenty of defenders of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, but I doubt many Croatians, Serbians or Bosnians would want to restore it now.
We are all governed by others. The EU/EC or whatever it's called, dictates most things and we are beholden to the UN and NATO (especially the wishes of the U.S) in respect of international affairs.
No I would say because Scotland may have more troops which as you say is why they cut more but it is still MORE which is after all the point. It is also interesting that you are quite happy to post a story about Salmond in a right wing newspaper and use that to coroborate your argument without in the least questioning your source, and yet question an organisation that declares it's bias does not hide it and gives you the details of where its figures come from. That's a game you're having PNP.

Is there a bank left that has not declared in the past two days that a yes vote would create fiscal disaster for Scotland and the remainder of the UK and that includes banks worldwide My source ? any newspaper with a business section
I linked to numerous sources when posting about Salmond's expenses, including the BBC and Daily Record, plus it was about something that he'd admitted on at least one occasion. All of your links seem to be exclusively to Yes campaign sources and don't hold up under any examination. Why use a source that you admit to be biased?
The Yes campaign remind me of one of those old westerns where the "happy-clappy" covered wagons are all singing as they roll out west to the promised land - the land of milk and honey. Of course, they hadn't reckoned with the locals out west not taking to kindly to their presence, and coming to remonstrate with them about it. Similarly, the Yes campaign are all on their happy wagon, off to their quasi-socialist utopia, blind to any possible dangers - they'll all be sorted out later. Yeah, course they will. They'll probably be too busy singing to see the edge of the precipice before they go crashing over it!...
"Is there a bank left that has not declared in the past two days that a yes vote would create fiscal disaster for Scotland and the remainder of the UK and that includes banks worldwide" The bottom line is the markets want to know how the current UK debt will be apportioned after a separation. Once known, the markets will adjust exchange rates and credit ratings for UKminus. And Scotland can then do what they want on currency (separate currency or "Sterlingisation" being the real possibilities on offer) . Moodys are already on record as stating that Scotlands' credit rating will be determined somewhat by 'responsible' acceptance of debt obligations. Prattery like claiming if there is no currency union then no debt will be accepted etc will be awarded with a "junk" rating.
Well, I think Salmond & co are full of ****. So, we're all entitled to our opinions!...I thought it was perfectly understandable, by the way.
I understand it all right and you are fully entitled to your opinion, but you are talking arrant nonsense. No one has promised any sort of Utopia - quasi socialist or otherwise....unless you have evidence to the contrary? It's a convenient myth.
This sounds pretty utopian to me. Although I'm sure you'll see it differently. http://www.not606.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=7040521
As numerous people have said, this YES or NO is not about Salmond, it's about Scotland and Scottish people.
I agree that poster is a bit simplistic but you can't just say it should be dismissed as just an utopian dream? YES say it will be hard, but that doesn't mean we should vote NO and be further ruined by those idiots in Westminster.
