    Not so sure its a cheap publicity but I do think that to some extent you are barking up a tree that is at least near. Its definitely getting City publicity/press and none of it really bad so it must be good. If the consensus opinion is correct- Ehab to take over, then this way brings way more publicity than if this had just been announced as a press release. Sort of like the Segway-build up expectation!

    I can't see why they would invite the worlds press to announce Ehab was taking over, it's not newsworthy. They've been in negotiations with someone for several weeks, if it had fallen through they wouldn't be announcing it. If a sale to someone with more money than them is being made, that's news.

    I really hope it's a Thick Of It Style press conference to announce nothing other than everyone involved is doing a really good job.

    But if I was betting I'd say it was to serve notice of an intention to depart the council owned stadium and build their own. Outside the city.

    Nah, they'd have a film crew up anyway for the Thursday presser, especially with 4 new players potentially making their debut.

    edit - unless cos we're playing Monday the usual Thursday presser isnt on Thursday.

    negotiations for several weeks have finally been concluded it seems, its looks like this is the final hours of the Allam ownership

    Tomorrow marks the begining of a new dawn, and awake this sleeping giant, Hull City is going to be big news for generations...Tomorrow we arrive on the big stage
