is anyone else getting slightly concerned about the amount of times the OS mentions stars when talking about the new kit??? im perturbed by this thought....

i was ready to go onto the link and actually pre order my kit today, when i had read that article a few times over however i then decided to wait until i judge if i like it or not first!!!

No need to preorder..sure you will get one easily enough. Many fans will hold onto their sashes. The OS is known for its windups. Best guess: basically classic with a couple of tweaks. Have always thought that stars are a bit naff as, with apologies to American readers, the stars and stripes. NC seems conservative so I wouldn't expect anything too frightening.

£42 for mass produced bit of polyster? Can get a handmade heavyweight cotton shirt done for that.

certainly hope not - when i saw stars i thought of america and again, no offence, but dont wanna think of that when i see our kit.

plus the site once again says 2011/12 kit so seems obvious this is just a one season wonder again.

agree with you i think most people will keep the sash - think its going to be one of the vintage kits for years to come.

when it says stars in stripes, i think it means great players in stripes, not literally having stars on the kit, although that would be interesting

I'm in the school that a cheap piece of sweaty polyster is not what a dapper fellow like myself likes to adorne on a matchday.

But each to their own.

will be getting the new strip for me and me little nipper, whatever it looks like. must admit though, quite fancy the retro strips that they are selling, have to save up a bit and buy in bulk. Got the sash strip for my son, £15 for full kit, bargain i thought

I know some women of my age (60) wear some form of kit, but it's not for me. Have invested in little pink Saints hat for next winter:emoticon-0103-cool: However, I love to look round at a stadium full of our colours. The sash sadly was not too kind to those of a more portly disposition, but looked great on the young and fit (take a bow, Fonte:emoticon-0110-tongu).

certainly do see your point about how the kit may not be too kind on a larger person - but hey could be worse, remember spurs' kit made by kappa a few years back when it was really tight? most spurs fans i know are quite large so it certainly didnt do their fans any justice!!!

that said i think most of our kits have often been quite loose fitting - i remember the one when we were in the playoffs a few years ago was so big on me despite being my normal medium size.

Its a bit of a dilemma whether to buy the kit. Yes I like to have the correct kit, and I do wear it to mmatches, but I do think that having a new kit every year at £42 is taking the piss out of supporters. I might be tempted to either just use one of my old kits until it can no longer be worn, or buy one of the retro ones. I mean, its still red and white stripes, and with no other item of clothing would I buy a new one simply because a new one had been released.

this is a very valid point.

very annoyed that they have bumped up the price on the new kit again to £42 - just extortionate!

would be interesting... its umbro isnt it, maybe like the little stars on the shoulders on the england kits???

Probably right Jen. The Saints sash shirt was pretty much modeled on the previous england polo top type shirt. Umbro like to keep the England shirt a "year ahead" of what they produce for the clubs.

Don't you all just buy the kit simply because it's ours? I certainly do, whatever colour or style.

Do you also buy every new version of the iPhone and every Call of Duty release? You, my friend, are capitalism's bitch.
