The Irish mirror do not make it clear that the £60 million pound figure is on top of the debt. In fact the article says nothing at all. It would appear to be a rehash of the current speculation with a figure plucked out of thin air. OLM, you say you would have expected it be more, did you have a figure in mind? Does anyone?
I would just expect AA to want more of his money back, I'd expect him to want nearer £80m and the figure quoted will be the full amount, there's no way anyone would entertain taking on the debt on top of that, we're not worth anywhere near £150m.

hull city tigers is the name of the company i wouldn't read to much into that the title of the press conference reads that way and it would be the administrators who would have already being called in by now who would put the club into liquidation not the allams, so its not that either and i dont think he would have spent the money on deadline day if that was the case as he would just lose it. Logic says with no leaks anywhere about a new owner that this is just about him going to step down and his son will take over the running of the club. Maybe they will also introduce a new CEO of the club at the same time
Really? The debt is earning the Allam family circa £6 million a year. Do you think this is a good point in time to give up on this income and just walk away from it? I am not so sure that the figure quoted is the full amount. You seem to think he would accept a large portion of his money back and be prepared to put any losses down to altruism. I am less sure of that also. One thing I am sure of, the Irish mirror article was a waste of printing ink. Thursday will be interesting, that's for sure.
