Good question, but there are probably many Scottish member's. Wonder what the Scottish fascists would call their own version of the BNP after independence? SNP is already taken.
Nobody can stop them using the Pound Sterling. But they would have to withdraw their Mickey Mouse imitation pounds. I'd love to see how they would try and support Scottish banks and finance houses without a true Lender of Last Resort and control their economy when their interest rates would be set by the BoE
That's been the ****ing agenda all along if my ex brother-in-law Fenian from glasgow is anything to go by!
If history teahes us anything, it is that when the Scots are left to manage their own affairs they cock it up dramatically. The classic example being when the joined the Union they were completely bankrupt!. So vote away Bravehearts but don't come back begging to be saved.
I've got no volume in the office, but I can imagine.Probably sounds like Scots Gary ranting at me in the Cheese last night
Is it just me, or are all the 'yes' voters you see on the TV absolute nutters? They have, after all, been compared to 'animal rights' loons. If they represent the average Scot (I'm sure they don't!), then Scotland must be our 'deep south' and the Scots are the UK's ignorant, jingoistic rednecks. #theytookourjobs Not a good look, TBH. Televised spittle-flecked ranting is never appealing.
SG: "Shall I state my position on the impeding sovereignty of my homeland?" RHC: "I don't wanna hear that ****, ****hound!"
Both those staunchly for and vehemently against are just as nuts as each other from what I've seen. The worry of a divided Scotland whatever the result looks justified.
It'll be sad if Scotland ends up with what we have in NI - politics divided by tribal markings. At least Labour and the Tories differ on real, actual policy - how to run the country, not what the country should be called.
Indeed MY, the only collective decision the NI assembley has made is to push back a date to make any decisions. (For those of you who don't know, decisions can't be made in the NI assembly unless there's majority cross party support on it. Who was looking for examples of PR lol at its ludicrous extremes?) Welfare Reform? Nope not going to do it. Education reform? Nope not going to do it. Health reform? No....Well you get the picture... The only thing they managed to agree on was boundary changes to the council's. The irony is that when that takes effect it will make various legislation legitimizing bodies in those other areas redundant with no replacing legislation agreed to take its place.....but sure as long as they have their annual arguments about flegs and which road you can stomp up and down or the latest inquiry into why someone murdered someone else back in 1972, the country will run like clockwork. Hilarious that when Salmond is asking for powers to come to him, Robinson is saying please daddy take back these powers as we dont know how to play with them.... But, as long as morons keep voting people in based on the colour of the flag they fly rather than their ability to run the country........
Well don't look towards England for a political model based upon ability. You may have flag wavers, we have first class economic dissemblers. Cameron and Osbourne crowing that the economy is coming back on track and growing due to their austerity plans when it would probably have done so quicker had they sat on their hands and done nothing! Plus the economy has not truly grown until it surpasses the pre-2007 levels in real turn - until then it is recovering!!!!
See, Career politicians. I honestly don't get mad at the Tories anymore. They know they're ****ers and they know we know. They don't change, well in our eyes, to their followers they too have watered down to distasteful levels apparently. What I despair at is the alternatives: a Labour party that should be reported to the trades descriptions for having that name. And Lib Dems who are now dribbling in their own psychotic breakdown. UKIP? Small n nationalism again....... It's all so very magnolia...
Well said Dave. ****ing raises my hackles that (conveniently 9 months before an election) that the Tory press are banging on about a 'recovery' - when most ordinary workers have few, if any, pay rises for six years.
