As much as I love them, I vote we boot a few out I think the mafia had won easily had there been a more active Don. No offence intended Danilo, we all have lives elsewhere
I think Hash wasn't sure whether to vote for Danilo or Lucaaas- and rather than disappoint the people petitioning for his vote chose option "C"... I never saw that coming... was very amusing when I got a 3 as my random number (number assigned to Gerrez) because he was the only one not with a role. Lucaaas had it all figured out- even had MITO pegged. There was a post earlier where he listed everyone's roles and got it spot on! Biggest weakness on this forum for doing this is PMs. Several times I couldn't send people PMs because their inbox was full. I suggest we use e-mail in the future- or something else because PM made the job hard... especially with only able to send 1 every 2 minutes and 2 every 5 minutes. Lucaas did nail it. I had Danilo pinned, that obviously meant I believe Lucaas was a townie investigator and I knew DR was a investigator too but thought he was mafia (because of how he attacked me and defended Danilo so much despite what I thought was so obviously otherwise). If a mod runs it then there is no restriction on PMs I reckon fans of other boards might want to get involved, Minxy showed a interest
To be fair- I think time zones was an issue for Danilo day 1. (that's why I insisted we stick with GMT instead of BST on day 1- because I wanted to make sure my error of picking wrong time zone didn't mess anyone up) As it turns out - Danilo thought he had until 8PM EST which wasn't until several hours later- so he missed putting a conversion in. Day 2 he picked Gerrez, and Gerrez became a candidate for execution right at the last minute. Mafia were denied conversion twice in a row. With an extra member on team Mafia this game could have been different! (until Lucaaas picked Danilo to investigate in the last few hours of day 1 I thought Mafia would win- main 3 suspects were all innocent and it sounded like if Astro was innocent the town would turn on IBWT next) Regarding a Mafia 2- I don't mind when we play next. At one point both Gerrez and MITO have both offered to organize one. Would be better if we can get more people in though. 10 is really minimal for a functional game. 16 is better.
I gave everyone a number 1-9 and went to random.org and had it pick a number. One person I didn't include on the random draw because I wasn't sure if they were really in the game or not (their accepting seemed vague) - turns out they were. The roles don't have to be assigned at random though. In some games the person running it will assign people to roles to try and balance the game... especially if there is a mix of new players and veterans. The person running it also has the option to not tell the people if it were random picked or custom picked.
Minxy seemed interested. I suspect Bodanki would be a natural at this. Not sure if we can convince Nozzer to join (he could pick a proxy if his baby came). With all the conspiracy theories and whatnot- this game was made for Sisu! Especially if we replaced Mafia with "Lizard Men"... we'd have to get him to join!
Re; Active Don. I wasn't getting at Danilo. You've told me about the time zones already in PM. What I meant was, if someone like MITO or myself was Don, the conversion or assassination could have been changed at the last minute; for example, MITO as told me he would have switched the conversion from me the moment Hash voted. Mafia 2: I did offer to organise and I don't mind if we are stuck but I'd rather be involved in the game
Honestly I had a great time playing. Trust me I was checking every 5 minutes of the game. Didn't want to talk too much because I'm not the most active poster anyway and that would be suspicious. I apologize to anyone who is sensitive enough to take my attacks personally, which I hope is none of you . I still blame it on life getting in the way of my first conversion and then Gerrez dying in the second round - I hadn't even voted for him had those gone my way we would have been the winners. I was out next round anyway since I had pinned it all on lucaaas <bandit> I say we vote for a new ringleader. I wouldn't mind doing it but I'd clear my inbox first plus I'd have to adapt to GMT. Up to everyone to decide what they want.
It probably is made for Sisu but we'd be at each others throats Having said that, I think this game as brought MITO and I closer together TBH. Much like the F1 gaming did with DR and I too
As I said Danilo, I'm not getting at you at all so please don't take offence I guess its how the game will go when players are in different parts of the world.
I don't want to speak for MITO- but I think he is genuinely interested in organising it! (it probably will be easier for you mods too because you don't have post limits- you can PM more than 2 people in 5 mins.) / Later all! Wahey we won! Bit gutted it fell when I was on holiday as couldn't really be involved as I wanted but would be good to get another game as I'd have been a lot more active and thrown a few conspiracies around as well. Godod stuff introducing it milk!!
