Hull City owner Assem Allam will address growing speculation over his future... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11714/9462592? I was struck by the last line of that article - Allam has also planned a rare open session with reporters which will happen after Thursday's press conference.
there is no way that AA will sell the club, I reckon that he is just stepping back and letting EA become director now. I am sure that initially he claimed that he was buying the club for the good of the city, I can't see how that has changed.
Inviting the world's media to your offices, just to announce your son(who is already vice-chairman) is taking over, when he's actually doing the job already, would be very odd.
Has he made his money back? Its a murky world football finance so who knows. But if he has then is it him calling on the FA to allow a name change or else he liquidates the club? Who knows
The club still owes him something like £90m, he won't be liquidating anything. Other than possibly his lunch.
Has anyone made a suggestion as to who we are been sold, I've had a snippet today from someone which I've not been able to verify as a rumour on Twitter or here which suggests it may have some legs as everything else has been speculation thus far.
So wait he shells out £20M+ then liquidates the company within 3 months? I know he is mad as a box of frogs but nobody is that insane.
Burnsey seems to think we are just going up for sale. I would guess we are further on than that. However if that is the case I can't see him struggling to sell anyway.
I doubt anyone who has met AA will entertain going into partnership with him, it's very obvious when you meet him, that he's a man who doesn't share control.
We've been up for sale for over a year, we've been in talks with someone for weeks, it's more likely that it's a sale that's being announced.
He has just shelled out a **** load of cash if he announces he is liquidating at season end he will get a fraction if that back. Like I said he may be mad but he isn't THAT mad.
Oh I know but I don't think he has ever officially stated we are up for sale is what I was getting at. I agree with you that it's likely to be a 'sold' sign going up with the usual line about 'With FA clearance'.
