From what I've seen of Manu Riviere he has adequate pace and a decent first touch who can also hold the ball against the best of them. But he has struggled to time his runs and hasn't been able to find the positions where he can start scoring those much needed goals. I think the team need to get those crosses into him through Aarons, Moussa Sissoko & Remy Cabella because he doesn't get too many come through the middle and we saw in Pre-season that Manu has a tremendous leap on him and can head the ball well. Enough about my own views let's hear yours.

Do you believe Manu can step up in the Premier League and provide the team with 15+ goals this season and be the first since Andy Carroll to earn that 9 shirt? or do you expect him to fall short and end up a transfer target for a Bordeaux or Auxerre next season?

Unsure. I'm not sure he is the most intelligent. I think we have to give 6-12months and then see where we are. Being honest though I think he looks fairly average.

I'm unsure. I think he'll get some goals, but I think it'll be 8-12 rather than the 15+ we need.

I agree in terms of the one aspect you expect in a forwards arsenal (goalscoring) but the physical and technical aspect of his game is what gives me the hope he can get into those positions, because like we've all heard listening to some of the most prolific forwards in football, they all say the say thing, to not worry if you're missing chances but worry if you're not in the positions to be getting those chances, which is what worries me about Riviere.

I've been impressed by his strength. Better than expected. I still think we have to see what this other lad is all about too, Ferrarya. His pedigree is decent.

I expect Ferreyra to be an Okay La Liga player like Xisco, not really expecting much.

he lacks composure and makes poor decisions, and i think ultimately the premiership will be too fast for him.
unless he gets off to a cracking start, it'll knock his confidence too much and he won't recover.
I expect he'll fail for us, maybe score at a rate of about 1 in every 5 games, after 18 months move on to Europe at around the same price we got him (or less) where he'll flourish as he'll have more time on the ball.

I was very impressed with him in pre season and I think with the right support behind and either side of him hell be very effective...he wont score spectacular goals but he can poach, header and hold up the ball
