To HTC users. The latest software update has removed the 'refresh' icon from the browser address line and hidden it in the menu icon. This means two clicks to refresh, rather than one. What sort of update adds to complexity rather than making it easier to complete an action? Any explanations / solutions out there?
You could try installing a different browser on your phone - I use Dolphin on my Samsung, and it's a lot better than the standard Android browser. Don't know if this will solve your problem, but it's an option. Do you use the Not606 app, as this has an inbuilt refresh button at bottom of the page after the latest reply to each thread?
It's in the Play store - and also in iTunes store if you have iPhone. I use it all the time, really handy. Only problems are viewing and posting some of the attachments/videos, but I check updated threads all the time!
Link from play store Take a look at "Not 606 Football & Sport Forum" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vbulletin.build_613
I use Chrome too. Thanks for info the info mate, had noticed it had disappeared but didn't realise it.was in the menu now. Silly change if you ask me.
I think that quite a few people realised that there is an appliance by this thread, myself included. I have installed it and it works, but does any one hnowto set it up to open directly on the QPR forum? Is it by "subscribe"?
I have the not 606 app on an older phone, but on a newer iPhone it doesn't exist and is not available in iTunes or the app store
Select the QPR forum from the main menu (depends on your phone and Android software level as to how you do this, it's a long press on menu button on my Samsung S5) then as long as you don't exit the app i.e just press home button on your phone when you are finished reading, then whenever you select the app again it will open at last page you were viewing. The app runs in the background but doesn't do any updates/refresh until you re-open and press refresh button, and it doesn't appear to have any drain on your battery - hope this works for you. I've been using this app for nearly two years, and have not had any issues.
