I remember that match fondly The journey down felt long. I must say though that the drizzle did slow for 10 minutes in the 2nd half. The chips on the way home became the highlight of the outing. Oh - and I met a girl there who is now my wife. That perhaps pushes the chips into a close second....
So, Happy Tiger, you fell comfortable and justified in calling all CTWD members and supporters gobshites. Well done, a new low. He told the world, "Nobody tells me how to run my business, nobody, never". CTWD simply tried to save him from his own arrogance and stupidity; thankfully they achieved that. But it was the FA who actually pulled the lever on his crazy antics. He, like you, can ignore all of the common-sense that most informed folk understood, but it doesn't stop either of you from coming across as pratts. Move on, the FA has.
My view is Assem Allam has been our best owner ever . Apart from the name change . I also think he is a kind decent man . Mention his name in the queens centre at castle hill and they think a lot about him He has also done a lot of good in his donations to various charitys . I hope he stays and drops the name change stuff . However IF he does sell up our New owners might become our BEST ever .. ___ However I suspect the announcement is to inform the council and the fans the club are moving to a new stadium in Melton .
Hearing rumours that Assem Allam is talking to a consortium headed by Vagit Alekperov. Good ol' Facebook.
You spent much of last year saying that we had no effect on him and he was just laughing at us, you can't have it both ways.
Well, all you Alam bashers will be happy won't you, looks like you've got what you want. Ungrateful little ****s!
There's very few Allam bashers on here and the club probably isn't being sold anyway. Certainly not to one of the richest blokes in the world. Remember that your stupidity got you banned, try not to let it happen again with your new account.
I know my stupidity got me banned, I was a tw*t, I'll admit that. My comment is not aimed at everyone, just some members that still continue the name change debate etc. For exmaple; On transfer deadline day, when we signed some fantastic players. A thread was posted about Allam and the name change debate etc, when we should all be looking at the positives and be grateful to the man. I just think it's very sad that an elderly man who has worked hard all his life, and for the good of the people of this city, bought Hull City and took it out of administration, invested millions of his personal wealth into trying to establish us as a top flight club is being forced out, because that's what I see it as. All because he wants to change the name of the club (not completely strip it's identity, we would still be classed as Hull). He has every right to do what he wishes with his business. As I have eluded many times, I would rather us be Hull City AFC, but I don't hold any bitterness or I wouldn't begrudge him if he did change the name of the club. What this man, his son and Steve Bruce have done, in such a short space of time is one hell of an achievement! I for one will be sad to see Allam go.
Oh ffs, here we go again, it's posts like this that keep PLT keeping on, it's one big vicious circle.
Manchester City don't own their ground, but it didn't stop someone coming in any paying off their £300m debt.
