I'm trying to think how many more 'like a new signings' lines that will get rolled out this season. We've had it with Cisse, certaintly when De Jong returns, whenever that may be and you can bet your arse Ryan Taylor will get one. We might even get one when Tiote recovers as well.

I think last season Sissoko could only play as a wide man. This year after a season to adapt I'd be inclined to play him alongside the destroyer (Tiote or Anita). I know Colback has done well but I think him and Sissoko should be in direct competition. I'm not saing Sissoko can play CM in the PL as he has not looked like it so far, but he is getting the pace of the game better now and may not look so lost.

I don't think we have any choice but to protect him over the winter. If we just flog him we are doing ourselves no favours at all. I'd start him between now and mid to late November. Then remove him for some of December (particularly Xmas) and January when we have a silly flurry of games. Gouffran can play wide though for me, as can Santon. The end product is not great, but just because we don't have a very good side, I don't think we can just abuse a young lad. Otherwise young players will look and think, "don't fancy that place".

Personally I don't agree with Pardew failing to manage flair. HBA had his best spell at the club under him when he was listening to him. His problems are his own. Marveaux was just one big mistake. He was injured all the time and worst of all, intermittently which is a managers worst nightmare. He had a nice left peg but even when given the chance, he was easily bullied/very weak. Alfie was just gash.

Pardew is ok with flair players, he is just average overall. His main problem is once he is under the pump his brain becomes scrambled. We need a more calm and creative thinker to get round the issue of not having a big squad or great quality.

feck it, just play the youngsters - we've nowt to lose as the so-called 'stars' aren't doing it and we might as well blood the lads soon.
Yes, that's right, I've finally lost it. Completely and utterly. But it's actually quite liberating to be so care-free. Try it!

It's like Christmas for Pardew now. He can't lose.
Cue the 'if it weren't for the injuries we'd be able to compete'.. Blah blah blah. No Alan, the reason we needed more players is because we didn't and don't have the squad to cover key injuries.
    What a plum.

Anyway yeah, this seemed inevitable. It was a price too good to be true for for an ajax captain with his supposed potential. He seems to be another player who when they try to play top flight football their body says 'bollocks to this'

<laugh> I also can't believe the way Pards pushed over that old granny, swore at a 5 year old kid and stole 20 packs of toothpaste from Boots. He really, really is a very nasty man!

It gets worse. He parks in disabled spaces. And blames Hoddle.

I heard he took up two disabled spaces because he didn't know where the line was.

I heard he took up 2 disabled spaces because he didn't know where the line was, blamed Hoddle, but when informed Hoddle was out of the country, blamed HBA and said HBA has also been using that old **** Pelligrini's disabled parking pass.

@FrenchFtWeekly: Cabella has a icepack on, sitting on the bench. Hopefully just a precaution.

I have to admire your faith, if a player listens to Pardews genius they will do well, if not they will be useless ?
