I missed them but yeah, top band.

Of course they and many other bands will shortly be featured on www.hullmusicarchive.co.uk

Am I allowed to do that? *cough*

I went all 3 days - really enjoyed each day for different reasons.

Friday night was great as it was quite a relaxed atmosphere and allowed you to wander around without getting caught up in the crowds.
Spark! Drummers were great and glad I saw them on the Friday up close, as when they performed on the Saturday it was packed and nobody could get near them.

Saturday's highlight was Spellbound, behind Humber Quays and the giant jellyfish down High St.

Sunday we took my fiancée's little niece for a look around - she loved the No Fit State Circus in Queens Gardens (who did really good crowd interaction), a colour precession/parade from city centre to old town, to fruit market and saw a few of the bands on the Bridge stage.

I thought it was a great idea to use High Street more - the glow-in-the-dark/illuminated art installations down the staiths off High Street was a brilliant idea.

I think people seem to forget it is an arts festival, more than just a music festival - you can't just stand around expecting the acts to come to you, you've got to explore and find out what is about.

As City fans, some of the security chaps at Freedom (as in previous years) may have looked a little familiar to some of us...

Seems some things will never change in this city... image.jpg

Obviously the not so cultured inhabitants don't appreciate what's happening to the place they reside
