I have found some cool knitting patterns while this game was on, if anyone is interested then click on link. http://miaandmaddie.blogspot.co.uk/2009/02/freebie-izzys-hooded-dog-sweater.html
Oh well, looks like I have picked the wrong night to take up knitting, lol. Come on England, well done!
Great victory to England. Switzerlænd are no pushovers. I keep saying that England will be the " black horse" for EURO 2016....
Switzerland 9th in the world? You are having a laugh! Superb from the young England players. Delph, apart from being over zealous at the start, was very good. Wellbeck can't play eh? Fantastic first goal and great finish for the second. Hart very good. Credit to Hodgson for picking a fluid diamond and playing players in their best positions. England were by far the better side and could have won by more. Well done boys!
Don't I know it Beth. I wonder if looking up knitting patterns would have the same effect for us a Old Trafford this weekend? Worth a go I guess, anything for a QPR win.
Agree entirely My only worry was Stones...he looked a little like a rabbit in the headlights. The rest played with a zest even old-timer Lambert made the second goal. A good performance...well done Hodgson
Some good flashes of what he can do. Take him out of the team and Switzerland become Norway! If you had no idea which team was ranked 9th (hilarious) and which was ranked 20th you would have put them the opposite way round. We need to be patient with this generation and they could be the real deal!
Patience is sadly not a virtue we are associated with. I hope the younger players get enough league matches to gain the experience needed. Switzerland were pretty dire in Brazil, lucky to get to the last 16. But those rankings are always good for a laugh.
The Suisse looked sharp at times tonight see why they are ranked higher than England still the result is all that matters. England very predictable but that won't change the headlines tomorrow as I see some are now tipping them to win it ... Good grief patients you are ill aren't you. Sb73 ... Suisse strong and got a bit rattled but fizz the ball around a lot better than England ... in fact a hell of a lot better. England to their credit stuck in there and were no match for the physical Swiss. The game was poor IMO but England deserved the result as they should of been awarded a pen and a straight red on Delph. Wellbeck looked very good but the English defence were split a lot in the second half ... very very poor and it was the Swiss who looked more likely to score. First half was cagey with a couple of chances for both teams. The clear difference was Le Suisse went up two gears and England looked no match for them but got a very composed break away goal in stoppage time The idiot press of the UK will serve up a big dose of idiot food tomorrow using the scoreline of 2-0 which of course was a great victory and the actual score. I despair because you will read or hear tomorrow that England have a brilliant chance to win in France in 2016 ... The idiot food will claim we have world class players ... we haven't yet but there could be promise. i can't see much football from England and fully expect the Suisse to win the group ... now they do have some players to admire. Col wake up mate ... England couldn't really play up at home against Norway's promising U21's but they did enough tonight or more like the Suisse didn't do enough ... New coach IMO but they currently have superior players than England FFS
Were you watching that match after three bottles of red wine......????? England had more goals, more shots on target , more shots off target more corners etc. Swittzerland were only better on fouls......
