Tried to politicise you? I suggest you read that thread as your first contribution (not directly addressing anyone) states that education has been 'meddled with over the years', yet somehow I politicised you on that thread? You, like others on this forum, don't understand what politics actually means in its full sense. It's not all about the explicit, the 'loony left' or 'tax dodgers' you know. It's a little more broader, more subtle than that. Read about it sometime. Also on that thread, OLM is happy to engage in political talk too and nobody died. I’d still like to see where the parameters of political talk were defined on this forum, as the unchecked royal thread today proves that these agreed and strictly codified rules exist inside a person’s head only. Pretty sad really.
You're trying way too hard for this Leon. Why? Its not going to happen. Get over it. This is easily the best City board around and those simple rules means it will stay that way.
Ah, so you’ve seen these 'simple' yet but complex rules of what is and what is not allowed then? I feel that certain moderation has been excessive, inconsistent and boring of late and I pointed that out. Not sure what you think I’d aim to win by the way?
Your belligerence in this matter says it all. To sum up. The rules are not clear mate. There’s been inconsistencies only today, you let a thread with nothing to do with Hull City, or football and with clear prospect of it hitting Defcon 1 in terms of politics be allowed to flourish? Yet the football related Scottish thread was closed very very quickly. Why is that? Either you’re f**ing stupid and really don’t have any sort of understanding of what politics is without someone punctuating it with Thatcher or Cameron; or you’re a hypocrite who interprets and deploys the rules on a f**ing internet forum for their own sad kicks.
I would say you have been on here long enough to realise how this board works. Perhaps you could draft some new rules which we could all agree on.
Why? When there's apparently a set of clear and precise rules that have existed for four years. If only I could see them.
Jeez, it was only a joke. I was busy today, my sincere apologies for not putting moderating this board ahead of working for a living. There's about 2,100 members on this board, how many of them do you think share your concerns?
So as soon as you saw the thread, you closed it? If the rules are water tight and known by everyone, how come another mod didn’t close it before you did?
Who knows, maybe they also have to work for a living. This board is moderated for the majority, I'm sorry if that doesn't suit you, but you're self evidentaly not in the majority here and if you don't like it, there's plenty of other boards.
I've only skimmed the board today, but agree with OLM's decision to close that thread and would have done the same if he hadn't beaten me to it. There are some threads I strongly suspect will turn to ratshit, but give them a chance, and sometimes they flourish, but mostly they go the way that one did.
Thanks Dr. I ask for the rules and you can't give them. Sorry, but it seems you get some sort of sad power trip out of this ****.
If the thread (football/Scottish Independence) had been allowed to go further and then closed after a warning, that'd been fine. Too many threads just closed by OLM in a heartbeat - it's boring. If consistency was applied then fair enough, but there's little consistency.
