Allow me Young Newcastle fans find new rucksacks have FULHAM printed on the zip TJ Toner and Jamie Lumsley, eight and nine, were excited to show off their bags ahead but were left disappointed by a Sports Direct gaffe please log in to view this image A pair of Newcastle fans have been left heartbroken ahead of their return to school. Magpies supporters TJ Toner and Jamie Lumsley thought they had been given club rucksacks for the new term, only to find FULHAM written on the zip. The blunder was made by Newcastle owner Mike Ashley's Sports Direct company and TJ's mum Stacey Bone, 25, is far from impressed. She told the Chronicle: "They were not happy at all. They turned around to me straight away and said, ‘Is this a fake?’ "They just said they weren’t happy because Fulham was on it and they wouldn’t use it. "You can see it straight away that one part says Newcastle and one part says Fulham." please log in to view this image Sports Direct said they were aware of the error and have issued an apology, offering a replacement bag to the school boys. It comes a year after the club advertised Rangers FC training macs on their official online shop, leading to more fans rounding on under-fire Ashley. Stacey added: "Considering Sports Direct’s owner Mike Ashley also owns Newcastle United I think it’s terrible." please log in to view this image
It was a pleasure mate. Special isn't the word. I'm well into the 70s for my 100 reasons to laugh at Newcastle Untied Book, at this rate I'll be able to get ALS to sell it in their shop within a couple of years

i think you posted the gold one in the wrong thread should it not be in the kick homophobia out of football thread?
I think it`s a disgrace. The bairns were heartbroken. I bet they were even more heartbroken when all they were offered was a replacement. Can`t expect any more I suppose when he`s stopped tickets for the staff. He`ll be charging the players to get in next. Tight sod.
Standard response from a retailer to just replace a dodgy item. Just because its related to an emotive thing like football shouldn't change anything.
Yeah, from your perspective, heart broken young fans being palmed off with shoddy merchandise by the clubs owner clearly means nowt to you. It's a laugh to us in terms of rivalry, but as Grandpops says, heart broken kids, more empathy from Sunderland than yourself a mag. Are you just as heartless a Mike? Are you Mike? Dorty Mike?
I know that Indy, but they`re only kids man. A little treat for their disappointment wouldn`t have hurt would it?
Kids or not, its as much as I would expect. They're just school bags ffs, not shirts etc which cost a bomb.
