For ****'s sake we're a small club playing in the big time and or wage bill is bound to be huge. That's the price we pay. Huw has done a grand job over a long period of time and continues to do so. Yes he's made mistakes but will learn from them. We've confounded the critics yet again and are doing really well. I know it's all about opinions but I find it amazing that anyone would post comments like that.

Why is it that the board have been repeatedly criticised by many on here in the past for not spending enough money, yet the minute they do just that, they get pulverised?

How much did they cost , Williams , Taylor , Britton , Dyer , Routledge , Chico , Michu , Vorm . All first team proven Premier League players, those "Gem " days are gone and the way Jenkins treated that Dutch club , those days aren't coming back .

No need to throw insults at those who disagree with your views either.

These gems are still here, and far more important than those who were sold. I'd have been worried if they would have moved on.

Good job you live on a different continent then. This man is a key reason why we are where we are today and deserves a lot more ****ing respect. Pathetic comment aimed at a man that has been instrumental in our success.

33 points with only 4 games remaining last season and you still think Huw saved us valley ,9 points from the first 10 games after our ex manager got the boot . Ill tell you who saved us , a very awful Newcastle , Villa and Sunderland . 11teams in the relegation battle when we got a new manager , whittled down to have that with 4 games to play and we were one of them , with a healthy team

Roof - we were safe before the Sunderland match, so no point including that game. Villa were in the dogfight with us, so a comprehensive 4 - 1 win in a 6 pointer says much for the (in Brendan's words) group. As for Newcastle, we fought to the end and Emnes' determination in winning the penalty again speaks volumes for the "group".

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the decision in February, the fundamental objective was to retain PL status. Mission accomplished.

Would we have stayed up with ML? Perhaps, perhaps not. We will never know for certain. People have their opinions and views, and they are fully entitled to them.<cheers>

How many times have I heard people on here say Monk or Huw (take your pick who is actually running things with the club , I cant tell ) saved us from relegation . We threw away the Cups so we could concentrate on getting 9 points from our first 10 games and have to count on other teams to play **** to get us threw..

You can't make comments like this and not expect the equal and opposite response.

You won't get that response from me this time because I'm bored of the debate, but it would be great to see you get some balance on the situation. I was at the Newcastle game and they certainly were not awful. An extremely smart tactical change to put Routledge from left wing to playing off Bony's shoulder, and then an equally smart tactical change to put Emnes on behind Bony late in the game, won us that match.

Stop throwing insults at those that disagree with you. :)

By the way I think you're right but you can't say one thing then do another.

Thank goodness Jenkins had the vision to employ Laudrup in the first place, else we would never have won a major Cup tournament,or ventured back into Europe. Not to mention a top half finish in the P.L.

Too many people suffer from selective amnesia on this Forum. Shame on them,I say.

Don't wash im afraid , the league cup was won off the back of Rodgers system as everyone knows that....If laudrup had done what he was suppose to do and continue with the Swansea philosophy and not change the system he may have lasted longer. (but i doubt it)......the Swansea way won the league cup nothing to do with laudrup..<ok>
