What in loving f** is everyone talking about on here?? We've got Chelsea away - big game, talk about it!
Yes it's a public forum and you can 'discuss what you want', but read the title of the thread. It's about Chelsea. Not grammar or qualifications etc.
If you want to discuss that, create a thread about it. I'm sure people will be happy to comment.

Anyway, back to the thread. Even though Chelsea have difficult games coming up I still think their attack is too strong for our defence. If we had a natural DM in the lineup (don't think Britton will be fit) i'd be a bit more confident. Otherwise I just can't see the defence getting the support they need from our midfield.
Happy to be proved wrong but I am going for a 2-1 Chelsea.

Pretty well why I want to give Fernandez his big chance to show what he can do when we really need strength in defence . Ill be disappointed if he doesnt his" Baptism by fire "start Could be a huge confidence builder if he has a good one.

Awesome read, so we are now picking on those with bad grammar and spelling.

Its not always about the education, its about the individual, and its not always about intelligence. I for example have always sucked with spelling, and had it not been for Google's spell-checker you would all realise that.

Does that mean I am not intelligent? I guess so. I do after-all have an attention span of a gnat at times. Its why I only got myself 4 GCSE's C and above, but one of those was an A in computing, B in higher tier Maths, and double award science. I also have A levels in computing, I would have had a degree if the course I chose didn't turn out to be a complete waste of my time and money as it was pretty bloody s**t, it didn't teach me the thing I wanted to learn. So much so, I had a friend who done the same course, I still know more about that subject than him, he has the degree though. But hey I could have had the degree, but I refused to get myself into debt for a degree that for me personally was a waste of two years of my life. And even though I could have had that degree, I still suck at spelling.

My lack of spelling was almost enough to stop me joining the Navy, but I made it thanks to me excelling in other area's.

So feel free to continue picking on those who cannot grasp things like grammar and spelling as easy as you, but don't forget, they may just be far more competent with numbers, or more artistic than you, does that make you less intelligent than them? I guess so.

Just to be clear in case I am considered to be picking on those with bad grammar....

I know only too well that literacy does not equal intelligence. I was the first in my family to go to University.
My step-father is a carpenter that can't spell, read or write very well. I was in the top set of Maths all the way through school but if he and I are working on a job together and there's some calculations to do I know very well who is going to come up with the correct answer first (arithmetic or geometry) and it 'aint gonna be me.
My uncle was consistently near the bottom of his class at school but had the determination to keep going and scrape through gaining the minimum qualifications he needed to progress in his field.
He is now a millionaire and always the most quick witted, entertaining company at any family event. Easily the smartest bloke in most rooms.

    I was merely responding to Dai's post;

The point of my reply was to mock the idea that Ki deserves praise for stating the f**ing obvious.

    Dai.
You may well have "made a few bob" through property but I will never see you as intelligent....and that has nothing to do with your grammar.
I have come to that conclusion because of the ideas (or lack of them) that you express....often contradicting yourself on the same thread within a couple of posts of one another.
It is my opinion that you struggle with logic.

Another reason I doubt your intelligence is that during the course of football (and sometimes political) debate on here you present two diametrically opposed views.

    e.g. 1
Your politics is that the rich aren't doing enough to help the poor and there should be more milk and honey for everyone.
Yet you frequently express personal beliefs that come from the "get away with what you can get away with" and "I'm alright Jack (f** everybody else)" schools of thought.

    e.g. 2
You consistently dismiss Laudrup's achievements with us, stating that he merely rode on the back of Rogers (despite Laudrup arriving at the start of pre-season and signing half of the team that achieved those things).....yet you praise Monk for "saving us from relegation" when in fact he did merely take over the squad of players Laudrup had played a large part in assembling (and shaping) and guide them over the line.
Do you see the flaw in your logic there?
No you don't do you....this is why I believe you to be less than intelligent, not because you can't spell.

    So let's try again Dai.
You criticised my response as unintelligent.

    You wrote...
So why don't you try and give me an "intelligent response".
What else is Ki supposed to do on a 10 hour flight other than rest?
Why does Ki's acceptance of the fact that, as he is trapped on the plane and has a big game on the horizon, he should probably have a kip indicate a "great attitude"?

He could watch lots of in-flight movies and ply himself with free drinks and come off the plane a bit of a wreck. Perhaps that's what Ki & Dai are alluding to?

So he deserves praise for not getting pissed on the plane a couple of days before a top of the table clash he's involved in?
Sorry, I'm not impressed and that doesn't display a "great attitude" to me.....it is the bare minimum expected of him as a highly paid professional.

    Excellent point.
If you trace all this back it starts with Dai criticising Dragonborn's opinion on how the Chelsea match might go (post#59)....apparently Dragonborn is not to say "if we play an open game we might get buried" as it implies that we are "rubbish". Dragonborn responds and asks if Dai could at least start using capital letters and apostrophes correctly and off we go.

A theme around here lately is some posters telling other posters what they can and cannot think/post....always the posts are considered to be not supportive and full of enough praise for Garry.
They are designed to cause arguments instead of debate and are utterly ****ing childish.

I agree absolutely. I think Dai has over-inflated Ki's attitude but I was just responding to what Ki might get up to for 10 hours if he wasn't "resting".

Switch Fernandez for Amat and Bony starts instead of Gomis for me roof.
    Keep an unchanged side.

    I'd go with;

    --------------------- Fabianski ----------------------
    ------------ Amat --------------- Ash ---------------
    Rangel --------------------------------------- Taylor
    --------------- Shelvey ---- Ki -----------------------
    --------------------------------------------------------
    Dyer ----------------- Siggy -------------- Routledge
    ---------------------- Gomis --------------------------

Bench; Tremmel, Tiendalli, Fernandez, Jazz, Carroll, Montero and Bony.

If we need a goal to either grab a win or equalize I'd look to bring Carroll, Montero and Bony off the bench.
If we get ahead and are looking to shut up shop I could see at least 2 of Tiendalli, Jazz and Fernandez getting minutes.

Thanks Terror - you're the only one who saw the point, sadly.

I agree with your assessment on the lineup Valley. Bony will start.
