Just wishing Hamilton wouldn't have got the puncture last race. It could have been bloody tight at the top right now.

I've no idea if it's true, actually, but E.J.'s normally pretty wise. On the other hand, D.C.'s face suggested he disagreed. Personally, I'd just like to put to bed the idea that there was any dirty play.

Missed most of the post race stuff this am. Was in and out of the house lighting the smoker. Just watched the race again, and was Rosberg being booed on the podium again?

If so... bit harsh that. Though I don't approve, I could understand it somewhat in Spa. No need for it at all today though.

Also... talking of podium celebrations, I think it's about time that the team representative was armed with a bottle of champagne! :)

We need Brundle back doing the podium interviews to tell the crowd to shut up and show some respect.

I think Alesi did pull a minor E.J. They seemed to settle down when Rosberg cracked out the Italian though.

With that scenario Lewis would now be 6 points ahead and well on the way to being champ. This way we get to see the best of Hamilton, although I would rather Rosberg if he does become champ to have done it by sheer ability rather than good luck.

Luck is a major factor in becoming a champion. You can't win it without luck.

True. I guess though it's more a case of Hamilton likely to lose it by bad luck unless that changes soon. I still hope though that Lewis can drive his way to the title rather than wishing Nico reliability problems.

It should be close, barring any further mechanical gremlins, which seem to mainly hit Hamilton.

It's advantage Rosberg as things stand though. I just can't see Hamilton pulling it back to be honest. Hamilton will really need to win 5 of the remaining races. That's a big ask.

I think the 6th component of the PU's will play a big role in the championship. I think Hamilton is going to have to use some extra's, its just how many compared to Rosberg.

If Rosberg keeps doing what he's doing he has it in the bag, if their luck swaps then things could get interesting!

I have the worrying feeling Bernie is going to get exactly what he wants and have the double points of Abu Dhabi decide everything. *sigh*

Nevertheless, important to note that the three upcoming races are, respectively, a track both drivers like (Singapore), a track both drivers hate (Suzuka), and a new track (Sochi). So, assuming no reliability issues, whoever comes out of the three Ss best will carry a HUGE psychological advantage into the America double-header - they've beaten every single challenge F1, and their rival, can throw at them.

If Hamilton and Rosberg 1-2 each of the next three races, Hamilton will only be one point behind with three races to go and all the pressure on Nico - and that's ignoring the very real possibility of the Red Bulls having the pace to challenge Mercedes at the next few tracks. So it's still anyone's game!

Rosberg is just way to consistent. Hamilton will likely have another issue. It could come down to needing double points. Which is stupid.

Really enjoyed that one, thankfully managed to avoid the results all weekend so I could watch quali and the race back-to-back. Really impressed with Perez, Button, Ricciardo and Bottas.

I think the KMag penalty was justified, Bottas was ahead so KMag should have left space for Bottas. Kmag was also a little aggressive on a couple of occasions into T1, chopping across an overtaking car pretty late, a bit lucky to get away without an accident. He's definitely talented and hopefully he can iron out the kinks in his race craft, as he's undoubtedly a talented driver.

Gutierrez and Ericsson really don't deserve a place on the grid.

If you wanted to stage a convenient way to get Hamilton in front of Rosberg, that was nearly perfect. Rosberg makes the unforced error early on to set a precedent, then under a bit of pressure makes the same mistake. But that said, it's too perfect. No way would Mercedes go to such elaborate lengths to make Hamilton happy, without Rosberg seriously kicking off.

Have to disagree on the KMag incident DHC. it was a good move, just had the bounce that pushed him back out.

We really shouldn't discourage racing... if moves like that are penalized, we could wind up just having silly DRS overtaking.

I just love good hard racing.

I think the main thing the KMag incident shows what a good decision it was to bring in the 5-second penalties - under the old rules he'd probably have got a drive-through for that, which would have been ridiculous.
