Could have been Ian Drury for all I know and he had polio...

 

In fairness Drury wasn't Warnock's worst signing and wasn't too bad when he was fit, always put a solid effort in and sound defensively, had a decent cross on him as well but didn't quite have any pace to speak of once he got here. Still dependable though. It just so happened that we had around 17 other left backs at the club at the time and so he didn't get as many a game as he could've.

What a great site Penshawdave, have been looking at the early days and the one that has caught my eye is 64/65 season, we played 6 games in 14days from 12th to 26th Apr, due to that we lost the title on goal difference to scum, then had to play an FA cup final 5 days later, in which we lost after extra time, to the scouse's............ one thing is for sure, that the FA have been a consistent bunch of pricks down the years
