I'd love to see stats on how many and how often players get injured in just those few weeks of a year spent with the national team and their (seemingly) inept coaching and medical staff. I get why some players want to play for England, but friendlies against really mediocre teams (yes, mediocre, England are just even worse) are a waste of everyone's time - as shown by the low attendance in the last game.
Time to step up Borini! I actually think a Borini Balotelli pairing would work. Though it may not be mouth watering it could win matches. I think I'd favour Markovic in though.
I think internationals should all be played in 2 or 3 clusters. 2 weeks here, 2 weeks there. Done! It will be better for every one.
They've done it before for Italy too. However, I don't see it. With a bit of shuffling, Coutinho or Markovic will replace Studge.
Surprising that no matter how injured he is that Woy hasn't decided to play him anyway to 'test' his loyalty, as he did back in the spring before the WC.
Thankfully our next 3 opponents are teams that you would hope that Balotelli can ease himself into some goalscoring form against
Always links up well with Wellbeck; an intelligent player of fluid movement who plays good attacking football and will thrive in a top-four team.
Sturridge is out injured, we know. I've heard a runour Hendo has been injured in training. It's just a rumour, but it BETTER not be true! #agenthodgsonisaredmanc
Being reported on the guardian site. right Ankle injury apparently. Hobbled off unaided after tackle but doubtful for match..
