Yup, that McLaren is pants enough to slow Hamilton down but just fast enough to keep him behind for long enough for Rosberg to clear off FFS him and Massa have just gone round him, lol
I actually think Hamilton can have a go at this once he gets around Massa - he's having a look already - seems his car issues were something and nothing and he's looking quick now.
And Rosberg's just ****ed it at the first chicane, lucky guy to have a moment there where there's a run off
Ricciardo on Vettel, sells him the same dummy in the second chicane as he did Bottas. Great move, awesome driver, future WDC
No I was watching on phone. Hamilton won, Rosberg ****ed it up. I don't like Rosberg (average) but I am tired of Hamilton so don't really care if he never wins. Best driver won
Pass of the day, vettel defence at first chicane made him easy meat but the way in which Ricardo did it made it pass of day. Very very classy
Christ Monza hates Rosberg. Listen to those boos. Even his snivelling, crawling in fluent Italian doesn't get a roar like Hamilton's pigeon 'Grazie a tutti'
Didn't gang round as dinner was ready.... The thing is Rosberg is seen as average and also he's got no real support base but when he pulls a snivelling retraction after a very Germanic cheat then no Italian or Brit will give him any support I expect booing for him all year... But expect Hamilton to plank it next race as per
My take on Rosberg. He spends a couple of years as Schumi's understudy at Merc, thinks he's sitting pretty when the old git finally gets bored and that it will become his team. He's the blonde Teutonic wunderkind in waiting (even though he's already hit his late twenties) at the German factory team. Despite this he remains only good, decent, far from one of the top drivers. Enter Hamilton... this unnerves Rosberg from the start. Hamilton is already in his head before they've even been fitted for their seats. Hamilton has always had the psychological edge and the two drivers and everyone at the team knows it. Rosberg realises just how good the Merc is - much better than they were anticipating due to their rivals failing to get to grips with the regulations as well as them - and also realises that it's now or never for him. He's got one, perhaps two seasons with the standout car before the others catch up or the regs change again. He also knows Hamilton is better than him in most departments and will become the number one driver (Merc will never admit this) unless he beats him in the first season. That's what we're seeing unfold. Rosberg at his absolute limit trying to outdo Hamilton, whereas Lewis is just being Lewis, like you say, making some stupid errors as he has always been prone to, listening too much to whats going on between his ears and in his chest as he always has done. Problem for Rosberg is that Hamilton just has that extra gear (to use a bad pun) that he hasn't been able to use yet due to all the problems with his car. If he gets a run at the remaining races and can remain composed he'll walk it.
In fairness Rosberg did get on top of Hamilton but I do feel that Rosberg is a spoilt brat who lives in Monaco and has no connection at all to Germany I think Hamilton is annoying as he just make so many mistakes and breaks his car. He just needs to get some sense!!!! He should have been a world champion more than once. It is nuts sometimes the stuff he does Now my issue is vettel a finger is annoying but he's twice the guy either is and Alonso is a cheat but f me he's far better than either too. I hope riccardo becomes the real deal and gives a champion one day that just ticks all the boxes. Other sports have guys that have done that and some have guys who come close but there you go
Just watched the highlights, Rosberg really doesn't like the first corner Well played Hamilton, **** start but great racing to regain and win
Singapore GP this weekend. Generally considered the toughest race of the season due to the heat and humidity and the rough street circuit underneath the cars. Also unique that it's a night race with a spectacular backdrop. Focus as always on the Merc rivalry. Hamilton on pole by a measly 0.007 seconds from Rosberg. Lights out at 1pm. Rosberg's car is having an electronical problem with his steering wheel on the grid as the parade lap fast approaches. Has the bad luck finally moved out of and across from Hamilton's side of the garage to his arch rival's? Behind the Mercs the Red Bulls are quick and it's the familiar arrangement, Alonso wrestling performance from his Ferrari that he really shouldn't be, the two Williams' cars up there - can Bottas and Massa take full advantage of their speed? They haven't always been doing that this season. Ricciardo continuing his fantastic season and Raikkonen looking to have potential but not that interested.
Rosberg is still sat in his spot on the grid as the rest of the cars sweep past for the formation lap. Drama!
Rosberg starting from the pit lane. Now we'll see what he's made of as a racer. Got to battle through the field on a street circuit. Not what you want to see happen. If a driver's going to have car problems you want it to be fighting tooth and nail out on the track. Hamilton fans will be pleased and no doubt laughing. I've wanted Lewis to win it all season and still do but this takes away from the spectacle even though it's drama/a good story.
