Just discovered that the day I was born Leeds were top of the old first division. http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/division-one-old/1973-1974/table/1973-11-17
We were second from bottom of old division two. Amazingly Liverpool were top. So we've improved five places in 53 years. That was some ****ing waste of 53 years for me
The game after my birthday we beat ARSENAL 3-2 away !! AND we finished 13th at end of season 3pts above MAN UTD. This in the 1938/39 1st Division. For fans interested in past history of Leeds results/tables this is a very good site. http://www.wafll.com/leeds-statistics/ Enjoy.
thought you might... I was born on Paddys day 64 and we won the 2nd division a few months later. I was a glory hunter at 2 months old....... We were top on Paddys day....

Jammy feckers. Haven't had a drop in three weeks. Will pull up for it next weekend. Bringing mrs Eire to galway for a couple of nights eating, drinking and hopefully grunting all paid for by my daughters
In 1956 we were in the 2nd division, but had a player called John Charles who helped us win promotion that year and we stayed in the first division until 1960 when we got relegated again. This called for a new plan and the following year a man called Don Revie .....

As a child born during the summer of love in '67, we were a model of consistency.... Had just finished fourth and would do so again the year after.
