Now that Agyemang is back he needs to start featuring more instead of Holmes or ****ing Taylor, i.e someone who can actually hold the ball up and lay it off, not exactly rocket science is it
Ertl was out best player on the day I think but Burton were the better team and fully deserving of their win. What we've seen today is the difference between regular promotion challengers for the past few seasons in Burton and a team still rebuilding in Pompey.
To be fair, Taylor was effective at the end of the last season when he was chasing after balls and putting preassure on defenders that way, not to hold up the ball and lay it off for others.
Yeah, Burton defended like ****ing phalanxes. Neither of their goals were due to any disaster on our part. Good battling for the first, and a brilliant shot out of nothing for the second. On the bright side, Pompey Ladies currently lead 1-0 v Brighton!
Missed the game as busy with other things. Shame we lost, but still early days. Sounds like Johnny Ertl played well in centre of our defence for the second match running. That's a plus. Danny Hollands appears to have lost his form since the end of last season, when he was invincible !
Just goes to show how a players mentality seems to kick in..........Hollands could not put a foot wrong last season when playing for what he hoped was a permanent deal..........now he has got it.......well you lot can see for your self! I think AA can install the right mental and physical attitude into pretty much all of them, its work in progress and I personally am still hoping for a top 7 finish, if achieved, considering where were were last year......will take it as a good job jobbed!
