Bit of both, UTD have a much bigger income, but RA will still shell out if needed, so Jose is just trying it on
We don't play Chelsea yet, so too soon for mind games. The reality is that FFP has caught up with both Chelsea and City. Only United and Arsenal are not in danger, but Liverpool are very close to breaking the rules. City and Chelsea did make signings in the window, but only a couple. Liverpool bought several, but none of high quality. Wenger won't spend big, so it will be United who can buy the big stars in the future, and afford the wages. Said it before, its only to be expected being the biggest club in the world
The response this week after Man Utd splashed so much money over the summer was "they can afford it". I'm not arguing that that isn't the case but if that's the claim then how can you moan about this from Mourinho? You could say he's being hypocritical / jealous though since all his success as been based on being able to spend more than his nearest rivals.
The great thing about what Mourinho is saying is United don't need to sell to buy, and that's why we never really care about re-sale values or having to think too much about that when looking at the longevity of our players.
The sale of Wellbeck covered the cost of Falcao. Plus he came up through the youth programme, so he cost us nowt in the first place. On that link matth posted ,there was another link saying CR7 was not happy with Real Madrid. So, maybe, just maybe?................
Confirmation that United are the biggest club http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forbes'_list_of_the_most_valuable_football_clubs no doubt some ABU's will find this rather distressing, but you cant argue with facts.
Only gives you advantage if you buy the right players. But then again United didn't spend a billion on players in the last 10 or so years so really finaicially they should have an advantage "in the transfer market" Jose didnt blab on about Chelsea having an advantage when he was spending shedloads last time though #moreJosewhingingandexcusemakinginadvance #lasttimeitwas"unbalancedteam"
The only reason Jose didn't whinge last time was because there was no FFP. But now City and Chelsea have to conform to the rules, which means a dramatic drop in what they can spend
The two clubs that were the most vociferous for the introduction of FFP were Arsenal & Man Utd as they are the two clubs with most to gain from it.
